When we have the special title (provided we reach the goal) for a challenge, we only get to use one (1) for the whole group. So we all make suggestions and then we do a vote by poll a short time before we reach the goal.

If we set a goal for reaching 600K posts by December 1st, then our challenge would be for the entire month of November to reach that goal.

So...if we have 10,000 posts to go, as Vicki mentioned, then that is the amount we want to post in November.

Won't reaching that goal be much more difficult if you keep condensing people's posts and independent thoughts thus reducing the number????

As long as we don't delete the posts and only move them to another thread, they still remain in the count. But when we merge 2 posts in one thread...in the event of double posts, it does reduce the count by that number.

We do have a no double post rule on Fan Forum and will use the edit feature to add additional info, but only if there is no response to our immediate post. If someone makes another post after us, then we can respond independently. But if no one responds in 48 hours it IS okay to bump up a thread, especially if it is discussion. I know this sounds confusing, but if our additional thoughts are in one place it's easier to respond. Does that make sense?
