Queer As Folk - QaF Post Count Thread #1 - Because we want our exotic board to stay!

We haven't been in danger of closing for at least three years now, but we just felt it was fair to let every poster here know where we stand when it comes to our post count.

As you know, every board needs about 15 posts per day during every month to stay. So, in this thread, we will post the weekly post count we do ourselves every week of the month on Sunday afternoon/evening.

To start this now, we'll make an initial post count on Sunday.

July 30, 2009 - 167,768
167,768 - 168,124 = 356 (July 30th - August 2nd)
168,124 - 168,845 = 721 (August 2nd - August 9th)
168,845 - 169,350 = 505 (August 9th - August 17th)

Since our next big milestone will be 200k, we should definitely try to work towards that one!

I think that every little post counts, so if all of us only post a few posts each day, we are more than safe.

No, seriously, Claudia and I talked last night and while we aren't sure what our post count this month will look like, we are a bit pessimistic at the moment. Even if it's not that bad, I think we should still try to improve our numbers and show everyone that QaF might have ended, but that the show will always stay in our hearts and how special it was - and this is why we will always have to fight for our survival and try to be better than we need to be.

I noticed lately there has been less action than I remember since I joined the board. I guess a few circumstances caused that. But I'm sure we can raise our post count easily, after all we all love QAF and I believe none of us would ever want to see the board gone. I know I wouldn't, I discovered the show very late and I want to talk about it with other fans!

Yeah, I have a pretty good idea why it happened, but there is nothing we can do. It's just always hard with such a board on such an open forum. Especially because the show itself wasn't PG-13.

I was thinking that maybe we can post pictures of b/j in here to motivate us more

sometimes looking at eye candy helps

but yeah we love this board and we don't want to see it go and so for that not to happen we all have contribute by posting

As long as we are all actively posting, it shouldn't be a problem. And if some actors would get new parts soon, it could get even better.

yeah, I can see the posting increase once maybe Gale gets a new role. And soon Randy's play will start, I expect pics and reports to be brought over here.
