I always thought Em's character unfortunately never had a real storyline. He was a catalyst to Ted's drug problems storyline, he was a catalyst to Drew's coming out, but nothing substantial for himself...

i agree... and whenever they did give him something it was rather lame, but peter worked it... bar none his straight sl was probably his best work on qaf imo... honestly though, peter brightened season five in more ways than a thousand... he def should have been givin more to work with

I agree that Emmett never had a real storyline, except the straight arc. And that's one of the best and most touching stuff on QAF in my opinion and Peter was amazing. I felt in the finale he was a lot in the background and I didn't like it. I think he should have had something more to work with during the show, because the character is someone you easily love and the actor is very talented

its funny how in season three he went from moving in with ted and turning it into a disaster zone to being party planner central... idk, i think they really didnt know what to do with peter, which is sad... but i still felt his presence... it was known

I agree. It always felt like they didn't know what to do with Em. He was the flamboyant of the gang and they just kept him as the somewhat comical relieve. But yep, that "see the light" storyline was amazing. The speech Ted gives him? Totally makes me teary...

and speaking of teary... for some reason the end of season two made me cry like no other time before last night... when i got to the scene of em watching george's tape... i sobbed... i still think there was something so genuine about their pairing

I'd love to see Peter but Hamburg's not that close to Berlin so I don't know if I should go. Especially since I'm not sure if it's going to be an interesting interview considering that the guy he's talking to wrote some incredibly bad translations for the German dubbing.

Anyway, I hope Kate will be there and take some pics.
