Hi everyone So I went back to work today - we just had meetings so I got to do planning and tried to sort out my year and what we will be learning in my classes I am tired though as it took a while to fall asleep last night and I had to think all day after being on holidays for weeks and not thinking about anything except what to put on the QAF forum .

glad you had a good day at work.. it is always a bit strange to go back after a vacation and come back into the flow..

do you have kind of an education or teaching plan for the year? or can you decide on your own what you want to do?

here for example I know they have plans for what books have to be read in which grade and what themes in math have to be taught and that is set for quite a time, I mean that doesn't change every year.. so a teacher doesn't have to prepare all his teaching hours over and over again when he had prepared it once and has the same grade next year, hje can use most of his preparation again.. it is less work for him/her .. just curious how other countries work

Hope your back and shoulder feels better soon - as we get older everything gets worse and harder to do

You asked about planning - we do have plans that we follow but we still have to plan if we don't want to follow everything they give us. We don't have to follow every lesson they give to us as long as can still show that the students can do the assessment work and do what they had to do It's still a lot of work and every year you change things for a new class or school or because things didn't work or the department made changes It's what keeps things interesting
