The tattoo was painful in parts but in others it wasn't so bad - it was quite manageable though and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be It goes around my left wrist and has like a DNA strand with different coloured DNA in each one for the parts that make up DNA (DNA is my husband's initials and also we're all the same - we're all made up of DNA you know ) then it has a cross (I'm a Christian) hanging from the strand (like a charm) and then a pile of books cause I LOVE reading and always have and then a ribbon (you know those coloured ribbons that mean things) and the letters 'ove' come off the ribbon to make the word Love |

Hi everyone. I'm really sorry for my lack of activity on the board. Lately things have been sort of draining. I'm not complaining though.
Fiona...your tattoo sounds really cool. My hubby will be getting his first in September. He is paying tribute to David Bowie. My son has Egyptian glyphs. 1 on each side of ribs, one on each shoulder and started 1 on his forearm. They are b/w except for the new one on his forearm which is red. I don't exactly get it, but they have meaning to him. I guess that's all that matters. My daughter has two. One is a black cat being beamed up into a spaceship (this was a tribute to our kitten, Nut.) I don't do tattoos though...I'm too much of a baby. I have to leave now to get prescriptions for my sister. I'll see you later. __________________

Hello Deborah. Hope things get better for you. Oh, and tattoos are really cool. A very personal expression of something closest to the heart.

Deborah, I also hope things get more sorted out with time.
I am also too baby for the tatoos now. But we will see. Never say never 😂 I adore the pattern Fiona chose for her wrist. And your children Deborah seem to have also interesting taste. As you said most important is that it means something for them. |

Greetings from California
Yesterday's flight went smoothly and Richard picked me up and we went to the cheesecake factory to celebrate our anniversaries I when I came back to the hotel I passed out though as I was exhausted. I'm feeling better rested today and have started to adjust to the time. Today we went to Hollywood and tomorrow we're going to go to Disneyland. __________________

Thank you everyone for being so nice and supportive about my new tattoo . I am excited to have it Actually QAF helped me to decide that I wanted to finally get it So QAF has changed my life literally Has anyone else had changes or made decisions or anything because of QAF? I showed my family today and they were surprised but seemed to like it Mum especially was surprised I think as she said she didn't think I would ever get one but I did They were pretty good about it overall My husband and in-laws had seen it yesterday as well as my little brother who has tats and then today I showed my parents and my other brother and his wife and son Your son's tattoos must have hurt Deborah - I've heard the ribs one do My arm one wasn't too bad but the bottom of the wrist hurt more than the top of the wrist. |

Ooo...I love the Cheesecake Factory too...and I have two within 20 miles of each other. The menu is fantastic and there is so much to choose from. Everyone can find something to eat.
Claudia...I hope you're having an amazing time. I haven't been to Disneyland in more years than I'd want to count, but I have Disney World about an 1 & 1/2 away, so I've been there many times. Fiona: Adam said the ribs hurt more getting them (they are large), but the forearm recovery hurt much more. It had a more elaborate design and felt more like a burn the entire time. This is my daughter's tattoo and the reason for it. (Nut passed away when he was 5 months old) __________________

What a gorgeous little kitten - sad he passed away . The tattooist said that to me - it feels like a sunburn and that's what it felt like last night - a sunburn. It still hurts to touch slightly when I rub the cream on but it's not too bad overall.
How can I put my own pictures up so maybe I can show you my tattoo? By the way my husband and I also went to Disney World - had a great time |

You'd have to upload the pic to a site like imgur.com and post it from there. I use Photobucket, but they're charging to use it now.

I have to shower and leave to drive home. It will take me about 4 hours, so I'll see you all on the flip-side.
Oh ...Fiona ~ How QAF changed my life was and is, I finally...after about 25 years, have gone on vacations without my family. I've gotten to meet fans from all over the world as a result. At first it was uncomfortable stepping out...but only because I was worried about how my hubby and kids would feel, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me. My life is much fuller as a result. __________________
