have a question about the musical stylings of the show? ask away. or feel free to ramble on about the songs that have been on, or SHOULD be on, QaF. because they're fabulous, and should be discussed often and at great length.

also, a check out The Queer as Folk Music Archive. look up songs by artist, episode, or whatever. yeah, baby.

The Guidelines/Rules:

1. Please note that illegal music file sharing is not allowed on this thread, or anywhere on Fan Forum.

2. Keep all requests Queer as Folk-related. (Example Queer as Folk-related request: "I'm requesting "Spunk" by Greek Buck" featured in S1-3").

3. The main purpose of this thread is for music discussion and discovery. When recommending, please try to post a link to the artists' myspace and website.

4. Have fun! There's no limit to the greatness of music.

I love the Music on QaF. I went out and bought all three seasons soundtracks. I think so far season one and three are the best. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

season one is still my favorite in the music area. so freaking many good songs.

and of course the ones that didn't make it onto the soundtrack but totally should have:

So Good by The Aloof, Heavy Scene by Meg Lee Chin, Sleep by The Dandy Warhols, He's All I Want by Angelmoon, Forever Young by Temperance (118 whoo!), Filthy Mind by Amanda Ghost.

oh, and the UK soundtrack! "Queer as Folk: The Whole Love Thing. Sorted." dude, it has It's Raining Men on it. you have to love that.

I think season one was the best too. I agree with you completely on the songs that should have made the CD.

oh thanx for the songs recomendation BKMOL, i needed some good songs to listen to

personally i liked 2nd season better, basically because that's the kind of music i listen to, and 3rd season is good too

usually when i listen to the season two soundtrack it's just Absolutely Not on repeat. hee. love that song.

you know, i'd forgotten that the video on the second CD doesn't work for me. i don't have the right player for it downloaded or something. poo. the song plays, but there's no picture.

The only one I managed to buy until now it's the s2 soundtrack (QaF is not very popular around here). And I really like it. Sarah McLachlan's Plenty would be my favorite.

I've been on this kick, EVERY song that plays on my radio, I listen to see if it reminds me of QaF, well more, if it reminds me of Brian and Justin, but anyhoo... [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] [img]smilies/smirk.gif[/img]

it's not on the soundtracks...But I think I've found MY Brian and Justin song. Some might not agree, but I think its perfect. Its more for their relationship during...I dunno. And it sounds like something that Justin would say to Brian. The song is 'Insensitive' by Jann Arden. Its kinda sad. But i'd recommend it for download. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I think the part of the song that reminds me the most of BJ is...hmm... Ok, so the whole song reminds me of them, but the part I love the most is:

"How do you numb your skin, after the warmest touch?
How do you slow your blood, after the body rush?"

The way I took the song, and the way I related it to BJ, it kinda makes Brian sound like a bad guy, but don't get me wrong, I love him. [img]smilies/love.gif[/img]

i love that song! it's been one of my favorites for the longest time. it does feel rather B&Jish.

(you should download I Would Die For You by Jann too. such a good song.)
