The L Word Appreciation: L Is For Lovely
Since nobody else stepped up, I thought I'd create a new thread for The L Word, formerly known as Earthlings.
The Official L Word Website, which alas is only available to Americans. Why? Don't ask me. The L Word premieres this Sunday, January 18 at 10 pm EST on Showtime. Here is a synopsis of the pilot: Quote:
Sites of Interest The L Word Online AfterEllen.com The L Word Fanfiction Archive The L Word Fansite L Word Transcript Site Look! I was good and didn't try to sneak my forum in there. Unfortunately, I can't post any pictures because my site can't handle the bandwidth from direct-linking a file on FF. Y'all will just have to visit the sites above to see these gorgeous women in all their glory. Yay! |

Oohhh, I'm really looking forward to this show. One of the reasons I made sure to get Showtime. The other of course being QaF

The reviews are rolling in and most are positive. I'm not going to post all the ones I've collected; just the most recent.
One L Of A Party For Creator Chaiken Showtime Skeds Sex in the Company of Women TV Gal Mentions TLW, look for it under the "Highlights of the Week Ahead. Semi-positive review, scroll halfway down to read. The L Word Breaks Lesbian Ground Showtime offers edgy hour of lesbians looking for love Girl-on-girl Inaction: This Soap's Pretty Slow, a pretty negative review Also, VCR alerts! Jennifer Beals and Pam Grier will be appearing on The View tomorrow and Mia Kirshner will be appearing on Craig Kilborn tomorrow night. Check your local listings for time and channel. Help!! Does anyone know if any of the sites listed above (or any that aren't) are planning on doing recaps for the show? I don't have Showtime, but I'm dying to encounter this new show. The same thing happened to me with Queer as Folk. Luckly, back then TWOP offered stellar recaps which held me content untill I found ways to download the episodes, catch random episodes at other people's houses, or rent them when they came out on DVD. If anyone one has any suggestions throw them my way. Thanks

Gallie, I will be doing recaps, along with a fellow member of my forum. If you'd like the link so you can read them, just send me a PM or e-mail me at annie@cellophanesun.com. Also, in the links I posted above, there is a site that will be doing episode transcripts, so you can keep up with the show that way as well.

Mia on Craig Kilborn last night. I her. Didn't think I could possibly be more excited than I already am for this show. Guess I was wrong.
