thanks for the new thread :)
I think he was wearing some kind of helmet, I didn't notice, actually, because I couldn't take my eyes of his body in that sparkly jump suit :D you think it's ok to put one of those "Tommy" pics on the OP of this thread? ;) I'd love to see your new icons, Manu ;) |
We should definitely change the pics of the moment
I can do it tomorrow :) |
thanks for the new thread :)
The pics definitely need to change  |
it would be great to have new Randy pics on the op :)
I noticed there's more of new pics the official site had issued, and also from other people who were kind enough to share on LJ. the girl who always attend Randy's shows just posted a great report on randyharrison community on LJ, after she attended three shows over the WE (including a party after the opening night ) it sounds like Randy is doing great job in this part, and he's enjoying himself a lot :) |
I read toto's report, it seems like it was really great!
Also, Tommy is one of the critic's pick on the the boston globe Here are 2 pics of the play from the official site of the Berkshire Festival. Click for bigger. http://i.imgur.com/uZfBb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mqkUP.jpg |
those are some of the pics I mentioned :yay:
another person who attended the opening night party posted a lovely report on randyharrison community. she was kind enough to share a cute pic of Randy with the two kids who play Tommy's alter egos :sigh: It's great to know there are already good reviews. |
I'm glad he's getting good reviews :)
|
Official reviews are in and they're great for our Randy :yay:
"Fans of this music will find the show a welcome bonanza, while others may be content to find a new idol in the honey-voiced Randy Harrison, who gives a dynamite performance as the adult embodiment of the "deaf, dumb and blind kid" who turns into a world-class pinball wizard." - The Who's Tommy: Review on TheaterMania.com - 07/10/2011 In the two below there is much more about Randy than I'm posting, so you should go read it all on the sites: In the first act Harrison also acts as the narrator, until the second act in which he finally becomes free. From that moment on, the show belongs to him, and indeed the story has the crowd following him like the pinball rock star he has become. - Randy Harrison Rocks the Berks in The Who’s “Tommy” at Colonial Berkshire On Stage The triumphant, outrageous, off the hook opening of Randy Harrison starring in Tommy by The Who, last night at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, was an historic occasion and game changer for Broadway quality, musical theatre in the Berkshires. Randy Harrison, for the past several years the ace of the Berkshire Theatre Festival, left it all on the floor, in a production that was built around him musical brick by brick. - Randy Harrison Sizzles as Tommy - Berkshire Fine Arts |
:yay: I'm glad he's rocking the play :)
|
The reviews are really amazing for him! I knew this role would be great for him, I just could feel it! I'm glad it's been confirmed!
I changed the pictures in the OP, I used two from the official site. Scott mentioned on facebook that he's going to see Randy on Monday :D |
Scott is so supportive :)
|
oh, the OP of this thread looks great with those new pics, thanks,Manu :)
thank you for all those links. it's great to know he's getting so many great reviews. people who attended the show so far reported that he does seem to be enjoying himself on stage ;sigh: Scott will be there? oh, that's so great :yay: maybe another former cast member will attend as well? ;) |
It would be nice if somebody else went with Scott :D
Another review, once again positive for Randy: This ‘Tommy’ lives up to the Who’s pioneering legend - The Boston Globe |
yet another great review. I guess it is important to have great reviews for your work.
I'm sure Scott would love the show, even if he's the only former QaF cast member to attend :D |
