I was just reading more intersting reports from the con in L.A and there are some intersting things there about the way Randy and Gale related to B/J so I thought it might be intersting to discuss it here on our board.

When they were asked to point out one thing they liked/didn't like about their character Randy said that for him Justin was 'crazy co dependent' but at the same time very caring and loving. I think we see that quite clearly in the Jambalaya scene. He really wanted to be with Brian and in a way he was dependent on him at that point but it wasn't just because he was an innocent school boy. I think it was because he really loved him and wanted to be a part of his life and take care of him. Also at that point in the season Brian agreed to take him in (even if it was against his own will ) so Justin saw himself as more than just a ONS and I think Brian began to feel differently abouit him as well (which is why he showing off with that Hotlanta guy, to prove to Justin he's still single ... )

I completely agree with Randy this time, concerning this particular scene. Justin was a co-dependent on Brian, but at the same time, he was a very strong independent person. He, just like his boyfriend, was a very interesting 3rd dimensional character.

Randy also pointed out that Justin was very giving of himself but it sometimes went too far and allowed people to treat him badly. I think it's true but as Randy said it wasn't the same all season long, things changed with each storyarc.

I love what Gale said about Brian- Brian's bravado was essentially hiding a real vunlenerableility.

What Gale said of Brian is very obvious though. Brian was so transparent in trying to hide each human emotion that he felt.

I don't see any reason why B/J won't end up together in post 513. I mean maintaining a long distance relationship is not a walk in the park but B/J have been through so much in the first five years of their relationship AND have finally reached a point where they both knew they have a future together that I think they would be able to pull it through. Plus it wasn't going to be forever, just until Justin found his way as an artist, I think.

Another interesting point Gale and Randy talked about during the Q&A was the fact that somewhere along the way Brian would have eventually told Justin that he was there at the hospital with each night after the bashing Plus both Gale and Randy said that Brian and Justin's love for each other got stronger over the years.

Gale and Randy are right. Very true, it never ended at all, no one could come between them.
