I agree with this but I also think that for him sex was something fun.

We might not agree with tricking but that was the reality B/J faced and sure Justin at first had issues with the tricking but later on he accepted it and even engaged in it himself.

I also agree with you that sex was something fun for Brian and for Justin but for different reasons. Brian was the Alpha Male. Men think about sex every 10 seconds and he was living a libertarian lifestyle (ie. Marquis DeLasalle) and as George said he was the love child of Ann Rynd and James Dean. But underneath it all, Brian had serious emotional/intimacy issues and he used tricking as a method to kept himself from falling into the heterosexual world of coupling (ie. Mikey and Ben). Brian admitted sex with Justin was the best. So even as a fun exercise why would you not want the best (Justin) instead of tricking.

I understand that sometimes Brian just wanted to get his rocks off

Call me crazy but I really can't understand the 'ritual' of getting rid of the trick mintues before Justin came home (as seen in 208 ) or even worst getting out of bed after such a great sexscene to open the door to his 11 o'clock

We've tried to explain it but if you don't want to accept it, it's difficult

you don't understand it because to you love=monogamy. To me too, but not to Brian. I guess we don't have to understand it, but just accept it. People aren't all the same, Brian is different from us. To him, love and sex are two separate things.

I do believe that with time his pov about love and monogamy will shift and he would see things differently and realize he can let go of his fixation on tricking.

Thank god because otherwise Justin wouldn't have been able to come close to him anyway. But since sex is something good for Brian (while love is something bad/pathetic), sex was Justin's way into Brian's heart. And sooner or later Mr. Kinney had to admit that sex is not always just sex

At least he got rid of him before mother Taylor came...I could just imagine how Brian and Justin would explain that one...

as for the Brian's 11 o'clock, I never begrudge Brian for that...I mean they just got back together after Justin's cheating...their relationship at that point is pretty much sketchy...

I think that even at that point in his life and his relationship with Justin after the break up BK was able to understand that love to him doesn't equal pathetic but he was still too busy trying to prove to Justin and to himself that he can have the freedom to trick while he's in a relationship (the 11 o'clock trick being the most blant example, I would say )

I guess he was only ready to fully accept the sex +love= commitement formula in late S5 when he understood that he can't afford to lose Justin again and that losing some of his 'freedoms' (tricking ) is not that bad since the much bigger reward is having Justin.
