The "honey" was not really serious. Both situations were a little sarcastic.

The prince thing, well, I'm not sure, but remember in episode 2.02 when Brian's talking to the shrink and he says "It's up to you, my handsome prince". I'm not sure if Brian takes it from there... but it came to my mind when I thought about it

Other than that, I can't imagine Brian/Justin calling each other "Honey" or even worse, "Baby". It just doesn't fit.

About the pet names, I can't imagine Brian and Justin calling each other honey and babe either. Whenever a babe or baby appear in fics, I cringe. It's not realistic, unless it's done in a sarcastic way.

I believe Brian called Justin "honey" in a sarcastic way, kidding, at least once. Maybe when Justin came to the loft while Brian was looking for a place with Jennifer. I think Jennifer called Justin "honey" and then Brian did it too, to make fun of it. But I don't remember Brian ever doing it in a serious way.
Even the "prince" was a little sarcastic, like Brian knowing he was being all romantic to convince Justin and he went all the way, making fun of himself.

I don't remember Justin calling Brian "honey" instead. But the thought makes me laugh, honestly. I mean, Brian's so not a "honey"

Thanks Steffi, I couldn't remember it. But again, it was sarcastic, not said in a serious way. I don't remember a single instance in which they exchanged that kind of pet names in a serious way. Maybe Justin wouldn't have minded but I don't think Brian was ever the type. I think the closer Brian ever went to a pet name is Sunshine.

I don't mind pet names, they can be cute, but it depends on who's using them. I just can't see Brian and Justin doing it, not in that way. It doesn't feel like them.

Yeah, it would feel a little ridiculous, it's just so not him. And those fics in which he goes on and on calling Justin "baby", I just cringe so much it gets painful to keep reading
