I do like the S3 Ethan Episodes a lot
Idk why... I like the passionate chemistry between B/J and as you all know, I do not dislike Ethan. I like this predictable moments... after 2 seasons full of an unpredictable Kinney it was very relaxing *lol*

The 2nd break up was weird, more weird than the first, at least for me. Because there was no... passion, lust and desire on Justin's side anymore, he really ended the Brian-chapter for himself when he left and that made me very sad.

Of course I knew that every "Sure, I miss him"-line meant so much more from Justin, but the B/J meetings during that break up were just weird.

The S5 breakup had a more final vibe in my opinion. It really seemed like Justin had lost all hope and belief. That wasn't so in S2/S3. Even though Justin was disappointed, angry, even bitter at Brian at times, I feel he still hoped, still wished for something with Brian.

I do watch some scenes with Ethan both in S2 and S3. They're not my favorite because I'm not a fan of the character, but I think they are very important for Justin's growth.

I know the first break up was inevitable, and I actually like how Brian, and than later Justin always were around each other even during the break up. I agree with what you girls said the the second break up felt more final, but still... IDK, I just can't stand Ethan. sorry. maybe it's those faulse romantic gestures, maybe it was the fact he never really was in love with Justin... IDK, I just feel uncomfortable watching that.

Proved by the fact that when Brian said he had a proposal for him in early season 3 Justin's eyes lit up and of course Brian clarified it was a business proposal.

even their meetings after the breakups were different from S3 to S5. In S3 there was sarcasm and sometimes ugly words, but in S5 there was such a loneliness and longing and pain.

The season 5 break up was def. like Justin gave up hope of Brian and him ever working. I loved their scenes when they were broken up in Season 3. You could still see the longing and lust within them. The season 5 broken up scenes were just sad and painful especially for Brian.

Im not going to lie I FF pretty much most of the ethan scenes. I just couldnt stand him. And Justin annoyed me when he was with him.

i feel like brian asking justin to dance at the end of gay pride should have been enough for justin to know how brian really felt. then again, how many big gestures did brian make since prom? three? i don't mean financial ones either, but your basic emotional admittance. i think what's so great about season two is that you can really understand and even rationalize both justin's and brian's actions. they're both right and wrong, but both are so stubborn, it's just hopeless, which is why it's so damn heartbreaking.

as far as the ring goes, yea, i do believe for a moment brian felt like he was fighting a losing battle, but inevitably, he finds justin in the bar, which i still maintain is ONE OF THE BEST MOMENTS EVER! everything about it is so perfect! brian is looking at justin, shuts his eyes and then anxiously exhales before trying to attempt once more to break down justin's walls. i mean, the vulnerability in that moment for brian... he's still as raw as he was in 301, only it's easier to mask those feelings more, but not whilst alone. anyway, everything that transpired between justin and ian was only to prop brian and justin, lol, so i adore watching these little slip ups and such. the biggest one comes later on when brian sacrifices his job, hee!

There's barely any scene during the J/E arc in Season 3 between B/J I do not like (okay maybe the "Is that your idea of true love, Sunshine") - because there's always so much tension and passion and... yeah, love.

And I do adore those little Brian-moment in which we can totally see how hurt and lonely and in love he is

The art is lovely btw.

Ethan, at leat as far as I'm concered was a plot device to make BJ take a step back and re evaluate their relationship.
I realy can't stand Ethan, but I will say that Fabrizio (the actor ) did his best to make us hate this character. no, I mean it. he played Ethan really well, as a slik , self centered guy, who obviously never knew what real love was.

I love BJ scene at Woody's where we see him playing with the match after Brian left. it's a "light bulb" moment for Justin, imo.
As for all those little BJ moments leading up to 308. (including the eye sex in 307 ).. it really is the best part of their break up .

the art is beautiful, thanks for that, Nikita

@Lexi
Yeah, not a fan of that too, right

@V.
I wouldn't call the Kinney-way-of-love "real love"! I mean, there are a lot of ways to love someone and Brian Kinney is not what I would call a boyfriend or someone I want to spend my life with. He can be very very hurtful and to hear from someone you love that he doesn't WANT to love you... is for me one of the worst things he ever said (twice).
