I agree with what you said about not knowing Ethan, it´s always this way when a third person comes in-between the main couple, the one the writers want you to root for. From this angle I could cut Ethan some slack.

Steffi I read people in the fandom say that the plan was for Ethan to stick around a little longer but then they cut him more quickly when they realized the fandom really wanted BJ back together. But I don't know how much truth there is to that rumour. I think though that he was always supposed to be a temporary presence.

It's the same with the original plan Brian/Michael and not B/J. As Randy mentioned at the convention... they changed that. I would love to know when and why...

Uhm, I don't think it's the same. Not entirely. I don't think they ever thought about making Ethan/Justin very serious and a possible endgame. While if they had followed the UK version, BM would have been.

I think they changed the plan with BM/BJ pretty soon. I think already in S1. I don't think they would have made the Prom as it was if at the time they were still considering BJ.

I'm starting the new thread. I'm using Nik's title since she suggested it first, then we can use Vered's for the next one
