I really suck with titles, so I can change that if you want

Brian made mistakes but he was always honest and respected the rules. Justin cheated and lied and humiliated Brian in Babylon. As much as I love him, I thought it wasn't too nice of his friends to treat Brian like they did in the beginning of S3, while on the other hand nobody made Justin notice he had done somethin really wrong and instead they welcomed him and his new boyfriend, even over Brian himself. I thought there was something very wrong in there. Especially because in spite of Brian's attempts to hide it, they all knew Brian had real feelings for Justin. I expected a lot more especially from Debbie, because she knew Brian better than most and she was the first one to see Brian was in love with Justin, even calling him on that.
And in my opinion Brian was definitely a "victim". You can have all the reasons to search for a new love and a new relationship, but you end the current one first, you don't lie and cheat.
Manu, first of all, I really enjoy reading your postings

Second: I agree with most you saying. No, Brian didn't deserved it - no one does. I think the reason they didn't blame it on Justin was because they knew both of them.

Debbie for an exemple: She knew Brian loved Justin, like you said. But she also knew that Brian isn't a master of showing his feelings. So, sure, she can say "I'm sorry for you" but at the same time she would say "Why didn't you just tell him?". And same goes for the others.

Justin - IMO - also knew that Brian really had feelings for him and cared about him. But it's absolutely understandable that at some point in a relationship you're getting tired of asking for everything... like a nice word, a little romantic stuff, an evening without dancing and ****ing. And all of this had nothing to do with everything Brian had done for Justin.

I remember when I watched the last episode, when Ethan threw Justin out and he came home and Brian waited for him and then they were laying in the bed and... that was so.... I don't know, in this moment I felt sorry for both of them. And all I could think was "It's too little, it's too late."

thanks for the new thread

It's not even that I wanted them to blame Justin. On the contrary, it was very nice of all of them to tell him he was still part of the family and they loved him and wanted him with them even if he wasn't with Brian. What I hated is not that, it's that Michael was the only one who really was there for Brian. I would have liked to see them support him in such a difficult time, no matter where the blame for the break up was.

thnxs for the new thred love the title.

Ilove that scene where Justin is coming back to the loft after Ethan kicked him. It's always so touching to watch how Brian invited Justin in and just hugs him.Idon't see it as too little too late, but Ido see it as another missed opportunity for Brian.
maybe if he had been strong enough emotionaly he could have shown his feelings for Justin right there and than Justin wouldn't go back to Ethan.by showing feelings Idon't just mean love,oh,it could have been anger, disapointmant or even sadness, anything but indifference which was how Brian was able to deal with it than.
the look on Brain's face show that, and the look on Justin's face show he felt Brian's struggle and wished it would have been differant that night.

Even when he knew the break up was near, he still offered Justin his bed; makes it more sad somehow

I don't agree. I don't think there was indifference at all from Brian in that scene. He's welcoming Justin in his bed, actually inviting him in, even though he very well knows where Justin's just been and that it's over between them. That's a proof of his love in my opinion. I just think in that moment Justin couldn't read Brian as he usually was able to do and plus he was too caught up in his dream of perfect love.

It was a beatiful sad moment for both of them.
they were in bed together, just cuddeling, which was something Justin always wanted, but if only the circumstances were differant...
I guess it was another obstacle they had to face, another lession the had to learn.
oh,I didn't mean Brian acted indifferent on purpose here, sadly for him he didn't know how to handel his emotions.

Yeah, something like that.
But on the other hand I always got the feeling that Brian really hoped that Justin wouldn't leave. That he would get over it, somehow. And that he would realize how much Brian cares about him...

I think Brian was conflicted. I think on one side he hoped Justin wouldn't leave, as you said. But I wonder if on the other side he wasn't thinking that it was better sooner than later, that it would happen anyway so he might as well push him, as he did at the Rage party.

Just to realize that this was a huge mistake?
Or do you think he expected to miss Justin as much as he did... in Season 3?

to me it was an act of love and it was a last attempt to show Justin that he really cared for him.

as much as I think Brian knew he had feelings for Justin, I don't think he expected to miss him so much. I think he expected to be able to get back to his old life. But he soon realized he wasn't able to.

I don't think he realized either just how much Justin had been a part of his life until Justin left.
