I kind of think Brian got a feeling something was different this time, if not immediatelty, very soon at least. But he just couldn't do anything against it.

I always think when he started to say justin's name and then he asked what his name was like he couldn't remember it. I've always thought he really did know it but he was just doing it on purpose to pretend that Justin was just another nameless trick.

I love he remembers what Justin said in the jeep, when they talk during that "there's no turning back" scene.

I think there is a slight problem here though. We don't really know how Brian acts with other tricks, since we've only seen the necessary scenes and nothing else. I highly doubt that he remembers all the stuff they said or that he yells out "I love you" in the throws of passion ( ), but you never know. Maybe that's another possible reason why Michael reacted as if Justin wasn't that special? Or it was still the other thing that we were talking about - jealousy.

I think Michael realized pretty soon that Justin was different than any other trick. I think already the fact Brian brought Justin to the hospital was a strong sign. I can't see Brian, that Brian of the premiere, bringing any other trick to see his son.

I can't either I don't think he would do it. I think Michael was Jealous because he felt that Justin could achieve what he hadn't or hadn't had the guts to do which was get Brian to notice him.

Yeah, I think Michael was jealous, because in s1 he was still fully infatuated with Brian, and he was noticing Brian getting interested in Justin, even on a mere physical level. I think Brian was infatuated with Justin being innocent and young at first, honestly. As narcissistic Brian was, I think the feeling of "corrupting" him titillated him.

I think that feeling only lasted for a couple minutes though. Or at least until Gus was born. I think everything changed there. Or later on, when Brian spent time with Gus or when Justin helped him to see Gus, even when Mel was being such a b**** to him. I think that's when Brian really realized that Justin is different. With every little thing Justin did, Brian became more aware of him.

Yeah, I think it passed quickly, but lasted at least through the first 3 episodes.

I agree at first it was the idea of "corrupting" the innocence and even teach him something a lot. I also think part of what drew Brian to Justin in the beginning was also the fact Justin just "loved" him to death and I think Brian deep down is so needy of being and feeling loved. Of course later it developed in a lot more than those things.

oh there was definitely a part of him that was thrilled that Justin wanted him teach him all about his sexuality it was a big boost to his ego probably but I think that changed into Brian actually liking Justin and then finally falling in love.

Yeah, I agree. I think, in a perverse way, Brian enjoyed that idea. I mean come on, he is very far off being a saint, especially in s1. That all changed when he started having feelings for him of course.

I watched the fortune cookie scene of s4 today, and it just touched a chord in me. I mean this scene showed them in a very domestic, cute ambiance, and it was just so sweet, and sexual of course, but so evolved from where they started.

^ one of my favorite scenes, definitely. It's just beautiful to see them enjoy such a sweet and simple moment together, like any other "normal" couple.
