The Perfect Neurotic

It seems every time I post on boards, I get it removed and then I get admonished like, "Somewhere 500 threads down, there was a thread to say what you said," or "Don't post unless we tell you to," or some such, but I have to get this out ... I just finished all 5 seasons of QaF and I have to say, disappointment reigns supreme.

Let me just say, I was not a fan of the Brian/Justin relationship. To me, Justin was too much of a drama queen and WAY too young for Brian. I didn't think he acted mature at all (as some said) and I always wanted him off the show and Brian to be with Michael.

That said, the only story arc even remotely good was with the street hustler, Hunter. I loved that story arc and wanted to really focus on it, but nope, it was just a story on the side.

And the end, oh lord, don't get me started.

Mel and Linds moving to Canada to escape oppression?

Michael and Brian on the dance floor but then Michael being with Ben. Then Brian being alone dancing? After all that?

Blech. No to Ben and Michael. The whole idea of not only condoning positive/negative sex, but glorifying it is just ... I don't know, too *****ed up. Condoms, even if they don't break, are not 100% protection against the virus.

So, as much as I loved the character of Brian and thought he was very easy on the eyes, I really thought this was a sloppily written show. There, I said it and I feel better for getting it off my chest. Even if this gets erased and I get admonished.

I'm sorry to do this, but we really do have certain threads for everything you want to say and the reason for having these threads is to keep everything organized on these boards. It makes things easier. That's why we have threads for every season and you could have posted your post in the Season 5 thread, since it belongs much more in there than as a thread of its own.

I might not share your opinion about the show and don't even think remotely that they glorified the sex between a positive and negative person. They made it clear from the beginning, how dangerous it can be. Brian was even the most vocal about it and brought his point across. I could probably argue further, but it would get a way too long post for a closed thread, so I'm going to refrain from doing that in here. However, you can feel free to discuss this topic in the Season 5 thread with us.
