For me, Ben makes Michael more likeable. I love them together, because for me it lessens Michael's obsession with Brian.
Besides, even though I'm not a big fan of Michael, I did like how he and Ben worked through their relationship. __________________

Also, Ben was something that Dr. Dave was not. Ben was not a complete a**hat, unlike Dr. Dave, who was.
