Season 4, Episode 9 (06/13/04)

i can't wait to see what's gonna happen with brian. will he take justin back? will justin & michael kiss & make up?
and will ben finally really be happy for michael or is more drama to come.

i can't believe there's only 6 episodes left. *sobs*

Brian's radiation treatment is making him sick, but he refuses help from both Michael and Justin; Ben's book is rejected, but he meets a fawning former student.

How much do I LOVE Brian and Ted working together? I, rather embarrassingly, laughed out loud during the "Big C" conversation. "Cocaine? Crystal?...Caffeine?" The look on Ted's face and his voice when he said caffeine had me cracking up. As someone who has battled a fierce addiction to caffeine, that had me rolling. I loved Brian confiding in Ted and trusting him to handle the DandyLube campaign. And deliver Teddy did! Great Ted moments this episode.

I didn't buy that "you look like ****" for one moment...Gale looked particularly hot this episode. Or maybe that's just me.

Too bad about Horvath...I really like his character and had hoped he and Debbie could spark their flame again.

Speaking of flames...Emmett's must be sparking all over the place. Too fun. I like this storyline, but then again, I'm a huge fan of football...and football players.

"Get your ass in bed you ****ing sonofabitch!" LOVED Justin. It's about time someone (J & M) tell Brian what a dumb move he made in not telling anyone about his cancer and not trusting his loved ones.

Edited: I am really disliking Ben's character this season. I hate what they are doing to his character, although it is understandable for him to be disappointed and somewhat jealous of Michael's future success.

I really liked tonight’s episode.

– Em and the football player story line looks... interesting. I’d kinda like to see where this would lead.

– Ted and Brian together. So cute. Ted “trying” to represent Brian at the meeting, too funny. The minute the mans son asked where the mens room was, I was like “That’s your cue Teddy.” I didn’t think he would go through with it, I’m proud.

– You didn’t see much of Brian in this episode, but the scenes he was in were...fabulous. I really loved the part between Brian and Michael. When Michael was sticking up for Brian, and Brian finally came out and told him the real reason why he pushed Justin away.

– I’m happy Justin wouldn’t take no for an answer at the end of the episode. That last scene had me on the edge of my seat. I’m glad Brian did as he was told and went to bed. Good boy.

– I like Ben... I really do, I always have. But he’s getting on my nerves lately. Get over yourself and be happy for your lover. Now the previews for next week...don’t like where this is going, and if he cheats on Michael, its going to be hard to forgive him. And that dude that plays Anthony (I think that’s his name), he looks familiar.

– I felt bad for Debbie tonight. She was starting to glow again and then he broke the news that he has a girlfriend. I know Debbie can pull through this, it just sucks.

– Next week looks interesting.

I think that’s it for now... I know, it was a stunning review.

yeah, i do love Ben, despite him getting the Doctor Dave Personality Transplant Award this season. i understand that he's jealous and insecure about his writing now, with all the rejection he's getting while Michael is becoming a big success. it's obvious why Anthony interests him at the moment, because the fawning is helping Ben's ego. at the same time, i have to cringe whenever he starts acting like an ass. oh Ben. why are the writers doing this to you? and us?

plus, Anthony isn't even hot. **shallow** if you're determined to screw up your relationship, Ben darling, at least have the decency to do it with someone we WANT to see naked.

love love loved Ted this episode. i have never said that before. his scenes with Brian were fantastic, and i love that Ted was really the first person Brian told about The Big C. and of course, Ted channeling Brian to get the client was classic.

i will ignore anything that Lindsay does until this creepy artist guy is gone. also, it would be nice if they actually came out and said that Lindsay was bisexual. that, or STOP MAKING THE LESBIAN TOUCH THE ICKY BAD MAN-CREATURE. plz kthanx.

Hunter is precious about the money and wanting the computer.

Hunter and Michael opening Ben's mail was not precious. jesus freaking christ. oh yes, lets open someone elses 25th rejection letter. because it'll so look like an accident, and Ben won't be pissed at all!

much love for Emmett! less love for the football player. oh Em. this probably isn't going to end well, but i hope it's not a big emotional involvement for him. we don't need another Emmett Heartbreak this soon.

sorry about Debbie and Horvath. it was nice to see her with someone of her own for a while.

Brian... oh Brian. poor sick pale Brian. <3 his opening scene with Vic was hilarious. "family jewel" indeed.

I love Justin. i love that season one Justin seems to be back. the last scene with Brian was fabulous. someone needed to call Brian on his crap, and i love seeing Justin do it.

I kept thinking the same thing. I think, though, he reminds me of one of Brian's clients/tricks from the first season. I don't know though, perhaps I've seen him elsewhere. He had the Brian Krause thing going on, only younger.

Since I'm too lazy to type this all up again, I'm just gonna post what I posted in my LJ.

- Firstly, I wanna know what bad **** CowLip smoked while writing the beginning scene with Brian. It looks like something from the Batman & Robin tv show. Though, it definitely served as a great oppurtunity to see Gale's package. ::innocent look:: What?

- Emmett was so cute in this ep. Kudos to Peter. He can always make Em put a smile on my face.

- Justin looked particularly gorgeous during the first B/J scene. I can't wait for his hair to grow back, though.

- Ben grow up! That is all.

- The scene between Mikey and Mel was cute. I love when Mel said about how things have changed and become better in the gay community. Usually on QAF all they talk about is the negative aspects in queer life. Nice that they acknowledge the other side of the spectrum.

- The B/M scene is, oddly, one of my fave scenes of the ep. It was really well done. Michael's still a butthead, though.

- Right on, Justin! Putting Brian back in his place.

- My absolute fave scene is the Brian/Ted scene. Gale was amazing, as was Scott. And I loved the caffeine mention. Hee! Little shoutout to us caffeine addicts worldwide.

- The 'Ted trying to be Brian' scene is...embarrassing. I actually cringed while watching it. I don't know, I liked it more when Ted embraced his loserness. My world would be all askew if he actually started becoming cool. Or even luke-warm.

Other than that, I really have nothing to say about this ep. It was pretty boring. Actually, this season compared to the others is boring too. I think it's because the majority of the scenes have been taken away from Brian, Justin and Michael. More has been focused on Deb, Em and Lindz. All characters I adore, but they're not what keep me coming back to this show each week.

And I gotta say, next week's ep looks soooo good from a B/J perspective. I was hoping there'd be mention of Brian's sexual changes on the show. And the scene we'll be receiving looks like it'd be hot...if it wasn't so sad. Hopefully, by the end of same ep all will be right with the B/J lovin' again. Oh, and yes, I did raise an eyebrow when the scene of Justin and Mikey talking about Brian's "problem" came up. Especially after Brian said "don't tell anyone". Either Justin's IQ has dropped since s1, or (I'm hoping) that Brian told Mikey first, so it was therefore talkable between J/M. Ok, so I'm fetching...a girl can hope, can't she?!

Ohhhh my god, I'm SO in love with Justin right now. Randy was amazing tonight, as usual. The end scene between Brian and Justin was just incredible. I was worried at first, but it just ended fabulously. Justin calling him on all of his crap was great, and I loved how he ordered Brian to bed, and he listened! You could tell his words really got through. Thank god.

Michael redeemed himself a little bit tonight, but I was glad to see that he got flak from Justin about it.

Other than that, not much else to say. Hunter was adorable today, Ted's turning out to be alright, and I can't help but think Mel's going to be hurt soon.
