Yeah. Wes was really only close to Laurel and Annalise but I can see them doing a time jump. That way they can move onto a new storyline without looking too insensitive.

Maybe at the beginning of S4 they'll have skipped a few months of summer, like what happened between S2 & S3.

I don't think they particularly care how insensitive they look.. but hopefully they let Wes be remembered, at least by Laurel and Annalise.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Pete would like to keep murder mysteries going for as long as possible, like on mob shows (he literally mentioned mob shows). I have no idea how he manages to do that without boring the audience to death, like he already did in s2. His characters aren't mobsters, but a law professor and her students. Keeping them involved in murder mysteries all the time will take a lot of contrivance. Idk, maybe he proves me wrong by coming up with super compelling stories for s4, but I highly doubt it. I won't be watching either way, given Wes's death was a deal breaker for me.

Yeah I can only see the show going on for another season or two at the most without stretching out the premise out for way too long.

Agreed. I think they should have gone with more of a The Good Wife vibe after S2. Courtroom drama can be compelling too.

I was thinking a bigger time jump to catch up to real life time. Maybe it will open with graduation and they'll all go their separate ways but get brought back together with a new murder mystery.

I like the murder mysteries, and flash forwards.. well not so much this past season because of the outcome..
But it's true that that can't really going on too many seasons with this because it'll get more and more ridiculous that they keep being personally involved in all these murders.

But with Wes gone the show is doomed anyway.

That would be interesting. It's a little weird that the show is back in 2015 when we'll be in 2017 when the show comes back on.

I don't want them to totally skip Laurel having the baby or anything though, if that's the route they go. But Pete will probably just kill it off, so..

I also feel like the chances of actually seeing Laurel pregnant and having the baby are slim. I just think that on a show like this the writers might feel it limits the character. But just say they do have a big time jump and this season ends with Laurel deciding not to have the baby. And then next season after a few eps we see her with a baby. They like their twists so that's one they could do. And we could have a flashback to why she changed her mind.

Sometimes it's better to just say nothing I wonder if they regret their writing choices
