Reasons

Angel and Spike were dreaming of Cordy and Buffy.
Angel and Spike were ready to die for Cordy and Buffy.
Angel and Spike are Cordy's and Buffy's champions.
Angel and Spike were lost without Cordy and Buffy.
Angel and Spike were ready to dust Darla and Dru for Cordy and Buffy.
Angel and Spike saved Cordy and Buffy from Darla and Dru.
Both Spuffy and Cangel were parents for Dawn and baby Connor.

I'm quite happy with them leaving out any mention of Cordy from the stupid comics

I totally avoided the comics at first because I heard that they were so OOC, but I just started buying them. I know I'm going to be disappointed now though.

I read a few of the early comics, mostly for any mention of Cordy - but then she was there and they kind of ruined it for me, kind of, so I thought it best to just ignore everything that was in them

When I heard about Dawn being a giant, blah, blah, etc. etc. I totally got turned off. I wanted to at least give Joss the benefit of the doubt. I doubt I'll be able to though.

I never did find out why Dawn was a giant, I just kind of lost interest halfway through that arc

I think it was because she lost her virginity "thricewise" Kenny's roommate so, Kenny put a spell on her. Or something like that.

That's the weirdest thing, ever. Poor Dawn, I think Willow was the only one to lose her virginity and not suffer any consequences

Xander had Faith try and kill him.
Cordy got knocked up.
Buffy had Angelus.

Maybe he's trying to tell kids never to have sex!

Omg I love the title.It's totally true.Even though Joss tried to make Cangel like thye never existed they still have so many fans and the same is whit Spuffy.

Even the adults relationships never went down too well. Joyce had robotic Ted, Giles's had Jenny who died, Olivia left Giles because of the demons - I think Joss is trying to say that all relationships are crap and you're better off without!
