Buffy had several dreams about Spike even one where she killed him. Same with Angel he had several dreams of Cordy and one where he drained her blood. Even though a harsh similarity it actually meant something... because Buffy woke up with a start and worried. As did Angel cause they both were missing what they couldn't have.
