Friends. I think they are to alike to be lover's really. Though maybe if Buffy and Angel were dead, then I could think of them as lovers.

They could have, but I wouldn't have wanted them to. Spike can't move on from Buffy. At least in my mind he can't, he probably could in reality.

I sometimes wonder how the shows would have gone if Spike had gone to Angel instead of Buffy when he first got the chip.

That is true. Though i would have gotten more Spangel. But all in all, I prefer the Spuffy.

I wish I could have both. Well, I could if Joss decides to end it Angel/Buffy/Spike all three together, but I would have to deal with the Bangel, and no Cangel.
