Snarkiest Scene

Cut to Cordy typing away on the computer. Doyle lounges in the background reading a newspaper.
Cordy: "This is so awesome. Our first walk-in client. Everything is going according to plan! See girl in distress, - see Angel save girl from druggy/stalker boyfriend, - and see (pulls a paper out of the printer and holds it up) Invoice! Ta-da!"
She shows the invoice to Doyle who looks less then impressed.
Cordy: "What?"
Doyle: "Nothing. You're doing a lovely job there. Looks very official."
Cordy: "So why are you not rejoicing at out first paying client?"
Doyle: "Because that's not money you're holding in your hand there, darling, that's mail. There's a big difference between that and actually getting paid."
Cordy: "But she has to pay! - Invoice! That's the rule of our whole, like, society!"
Doyle: "Defaulting? That's another popular rule in our society - especially with the down-and-outs. Not that I've perpetrated said heinousness myself…"
Cordy: "So what are you saying. Why bother?"
Doyle: "All I'm saying is that if we're ever going to take that cruise to the Bahamas together, we're going to need a lot more clients of means."
Cordy: "And an alternate reality in which you are Matthew McConaughey."

Favourite Banter/Argument

Doyle: "Well, that didn't go so badly."
Cordy: "See, you can save damsel and make decent money. Is this a great country or what?!"
Doyle: "Let's march down to the bank and deposit this beauty."
Angel: "You guys go ahead. I think I'll stay here and not burst into flames."
Doyle: "Oh, right, you're pretty much the night deposit guy. Still, cause to celebrate."
Cordy: "You think everything's a cause to celebrate. We could use more of these."
Doyle: "And we'll have more of these soon."
Cordy: "We need more of these now. Have a vision."
Doyle: "I can't just perform on demand."
Cordy: "We need the clients. Have a vision."
Doyle: "That money has corrupted you."
Cordy: "If I hit you on the head, will you have a vision?"
Doyle: "Get away from me. You're insane."
Cordy: "Am not. Now will you have a vision?"

Funniest Insult
Cut to Angel's office.
Angel: "I scared her."
Doyle: "Sounds to me like she was scared to begin with."
Angel: "Am I intimidating? I mean - do I put people off?"
Cordy: "Well, as vampires go, you're pretty cuddly. Maybe you might want to think about mixing up the black on black look."
Angel (to Cordy): "Maybe you should talk to her. She'd feel safer."
Cordy: "When she hires us, I'll get involved."
Doyle: "Cordelia is right."
Angel: "I don't think so. I've got a bad feeling that we need get involved now. This shouldn't be about money."
Doyle: "It isn't."
Cordy: "Yeah, you should listen to.. (looks hard at Doyle) It isn't?!"
Doyle: "No, it's about doing what's best for the people you've helped. People get attached to a mysterious savior, and can you blame them? But as long as you're just a man who's doing a job, and getting paid, they can feel like they've paid their debt to you and they can move on - independent like."
Cordy: "You are a lot smarter than you look (Doyle looks at her) - Of course you look like a retard."

Ahhh... such lovely pictures I'm glad you liked the tittle, Belle.

Doyle loved Cordy from the very beginning, just at first sight... no matter she had no money at that time, and she wasn't that Sunnydale rich girl, he loved her... always his princess

Ok, Mary, I think we got off on the wrong foot. I didn't mean to offend you, or your opinion, and I don't really see just how I did that, but if you think that I did- I'm very sorry.
For once- I didn't call you dumb, I said that stop watching a show after 9-th episode, just cause one of the characters had died, wasn't the smartest thing to do, cause Angel was created by Whedon, and if you like Buffy- you almost have a duty to watch all of the Whedon-creations, especially the spin-off of BtVS. For the second- I don't think you're hearing me. I'm as sad as every second person who've seen Angel to find out about Glenn's death, and sure, there may have been speculations about his drug-addiction, and maybe writers played a dirty game there, but all we know, is that he died because of an overdose and you know what? The facts don't lie. Maybe Glenn went the same path, that Heath Ledger took, but I don't really see just how and why producers of Angel get the blame... I mean, what are you implying? That they had something to do with his death?
And I still believe, that Doyle's death was planned from the beginning, how else would they make Cordy become a real humanbeing, and not the bitchy Queen C, that she was? I guess it was Doyle's purpose to teach her to love and care. That's how I see it. And if you have a problem with me "not taking anyone's point of view", then be a bigger person and try to respect my point of view. I'm not forcing it on you, I'm just sharing it with you.

And now about your post, that I of course read, cause that's what people do, when they're interested in the subject of the article; if you posted it, I just "guessed", that you wanted us to talk about it, and what I found interesting in it, was the part about Wes being less of a character, than Doyle was, and that's why I wrote about Wes. I guess the next time, I'll just won't read it and I won't comment.
Maybe this way you won't be mad at me for nothing.
Have a nice day.

Oh, the name of the new thread is so pretty!!! It actually reminded me about a fic I wanted to share with you for a while now, but never could remembered...))

Anyway, I was your Princess before I was Groo's. Part of me will always
remember that, even if I looked up one day and realized it had been over a
year since you left, and we had all been so busy that we didn't notice. Some
way for your friends to remember you, huh? Okay, so we're lousy friends. But
I guess better late than never, right?
Hope you'll like it as much, as I do.))

I like the site you recommended - well done

Heath Ledger it was completely different... All I wanted to say in my post I said it, according TO WHAT I HEARED OR READ. Again, I'm not responsible for what the Angel producers say or do - I'm just a fan and, yes, I don't see in Glenn anything of a drug-addicted person and I don't know his cause of death, which "was never officially annonced per family wishes". You said "... and maybe writers played a dirty game there, but all we know, is that he died because of an overdose and you know what? The facts don't lie. Maybe Glenn went the same path, that Heath Ledger took, but I don't really see just how and why producers of Angel get the blame... I mean, what are you implying? That they had something to do with his death?" Wow, well, if you made this conclusion after reading just some bits from the interviews of T.Minear, D.Fury and others that I've presented in my post - well, it's up to you.

Yes, I found the rumours on Glenn's death "weird". Yes, because even David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter, which stayed Glenn's good friends till the end, admited to be "shocked" hearing that rumours of Glenn's drug addiction. Sorry that I believe them instead of Minear and Fury...

Believe me, the last thing I wanted to write in a post about Glenn was Denisof's character Wes. IT IS NOT ABOUT WES. Because Weaseley - that's that funny guy from Buffy, and not that mary sue like character performed in Angel by Tim Minear (whom Denisof called his "good friend").

You say, the facts don't lie. You're absolutely right and all I did was writting those facts in my post. I made there no conclusions. Even talking about raitings it where D. Greenwalt's words, not mine.

And if to my opinion, I don't have to love Weseley, just as you have a right not to love Doyle, or love him less than the others. For example, I completely hate what they did to Cordy's character. In the beginning she was a bright, funny, always smilling girl, of course, she wasn't perfect, but that was the way she was, and I loved her for that. And in the end they tried to make her, I'm sorry, some frigid crone, but it didn't work and her character just became useless, imho.

This website you suggested - it has other interesting cathegories, you should look through them
Sorry for answering on the posts not very quickly - my Internet time is very short...

Of course, if I offended you I'm very sorry too. But I have a right, just like you, to have a point of view, my own point of view... And, again about that my article - there where only facts. No conclusion, there is no even me in it - just the information me and my friends, who helped me with it, found, and we're still working on it... That's all about it.

Again, sorry, if I did or said anything wrong to you.

That's so true Mary, that's what made me love them from the start.
I became a huge fan of the two right when Doyle said, "You’ve made a good choice. She’ll provide a connection to the world. She’s got a very – humanizing influence."
That's so sweet!! You know I'm going to change my icon now.

Oh, great icon, Belle

Actually starting watching Angel season 1 I thought that we're gonna have so much time enjoing the developement of Cordy/Doyle realationships... Now in my country I can't even get Angel 1... probably I have to order it or smth. The most important thing for me is to watch all those 9 episodes without Russian translation so I could enjoy Doyle's hot irish accent))))

Thanks guys.

I agree with both of you, he had the most amazing accent! I was surprised he wasn't offered more gigs because of the accent alone.
