Yeah actually I think you're right, I've met a few also who enjoy Season 4 and they're Bangel fan/friends.

I don't get why but oh well. :shrugs:

I hate the way people mention the fact he called out Buffy's name as if it means something - like being associated with a soul destroying moment is a good thing!

I think season 4 was poor all round - you could kind of tell that DB was frustrated by what was going on as well!

Oh I agree... come on.. it didn't mean anything, I've said it before, if Angel wanted Buffy to be his perfect happiness then his dream would've had Buffy come and save them and then they would've had their moment but he chose Cordy!

we have all said it before mel to bangel fan's even but they just don't get it and they say db said he didn't know if angel could have ever lost his soul with cordy and something about him saying her name in that scene was because he lost her soul because he bagan thinking of her something like that.
all i can say is if db did say that shame on him but then when he was on the show i am sure he had pr to say especially since joss was trying to get bangel fans to watch the show and that was how they did it, they sacrificed cangel who were the core audience of ats from what i can recall to gain the baers. i really don't think they realized how many cangel fans there were and that many of us would stop watching the show completely. but i know hard core ats fans (not nessecarily hard core caers) that could not stand s5 and stopped watching it. but then ca/ats fans wasn't thier concern they wanted the bangel/btvs fans as well as the spuffy's who did not watch ats so they wantd to go with the triangel thing which sadly they still tried to do without buffy present to fight over ie giq which was utterly ridiculous

I got a certain amount of satisfaction out of it being cancelled once I knew CC wasn't coming back ever again

They ruined an amazing TV show for something that didn't even come off in the end!

& if David did say that about Cordy and his soul, it doesn't make me love them any less, or make me think they weren't the only two who truly completed each other

I guess DB was probably bowing down to what they thought the fans wanted when really we wanted CC and DB on screen together!

they weren't thinking about cangel fans. joss even made a comment about the 15 cangel fans .they were interested in the targeted btvs watchers who were bangel vs spuffy so i think they wated to play up that triangle so they screwed cangel shippers over. s5 they had the largest viewship the previos seasons but from what i heard it was not as large as they had anticipated, they counted on the original core fans (majotiry of which were cangel i think) to continue watching and but instead i have been told the vast majority of us quit watching. production cost were expensive and they were not getting the numbers they expected so even though had made the sacrastic 15 cangel fans comment pre s5 later he did blame us as part of the reason angel was pulled.

I just couldn't watch without CC - I watched them on the internet but that's it. It wasn't the same - and I think even people who didn't particularly like DB and CC together, still enjoyed their relationship as friends on the show. That was the massively special part - he gave us three seasons of that! I don't know how he could have expected AtS fans to just carry on as if they hadn't ripped out the heart of the show.

remember the bangel's were petiotioning and we have all heard how they tricked cangel fans who watched btvs with the tahnks for 7 years scam which turned out to be an anti-cangel thing. instead of protesting how s4 was going down or the crap ant the end of s3 even we trusted joss, in all honesty i never dreamed he would try to revive a dead horse like angel (they had tried to keep it alive for too long as it was) anyway i am sure the hardcore bangels started thier campaing as soon as they heard btvs was going off. i didn't even watch btvs and i heard about season 7 being the last season before s6 was over.

She wouldn't have given up her own show if she wanted to carry on being Buffy. So Cordy/Cangel fans were robbed from a proper last season for nothing!

just to make a bunch of fans happy that were not even regular viewers for the most part, i like many of you post with bangel fans on other threads and isn't it amazing that they very seldom know the names of ats episodes they are talking about except for IWRY, ROF, Awakening and soulless and the other s4 angelus episodes pre-season 5.
