I think they cut that scene off ´cause Joss didn´t want Buffy to show some sympathy for Cordy, he wanted them to hate each other.

Early Cordy was basically L.A. Buffy so it's surprising they didn't do more compare and contrast between the two characters. Maybe they were hoping no one would remember the movie.

aw, I didn't know that was the original script. they should have left that in!

I adore these two. I think it's so funny that they hated each other so much at one point, when they are so alike. they both started out as the shallow, ditzy, slutty girls, and ended up being kind, sweet, strong women who save the world. the writers could have done so much more with them.

highschool buffy was not the nicest person but everyone ignored how bratty she could be, (majority of fans included)

I loved high school Buffy. I loved Buffy all the years. and same with Cordelia. it was the two sidekicks that I couldn't stand. even when Buffy and Cordy hated each other, I loved them. and of course when they were friendly to each other.

Cordy and Buffy hating each other always meant we were in for a good time. "Homecoming" is a perfect example of that.

i am liking highschool buffy now that i am rewatching some of the episodes again (i haven't watched s1-3 of btvs since they originally aired bangel still makes me wanna

though) i hated her for the most part first time around and still think she was as big as a brat as cordy was but i always loved cordy because she never pretended to be other than what she was. i am appreciating buffy a lot more now but even when i hated her i always loved cordy/buffy scenes they just had a lot of chemistry

I don't disagree that Buffy was brat. she was. Cordy was too. tbh I pretty much think they were all brats, ungrateful brats. and that's probably the reason I hate Xander so much. but even being I brat, I loved both Buffy and Cordy, together and apart. their scenes were always awesome. I loved Homecoming.

i liked when buffy told cordy why being homecoming queen was so important to her they shared some really great scenes beyond the rivalry this was one of those times and the scene from oosoom both of these are probably my top buffelia moments
