I'm glad you loved Wall-E, Allison. I recently bought the DVD. It's adorable. And BTW I saw Slumdog this weekend – my first R rated movie – and I really liked it! (The dancing at the end took me by surprise but it was awesome as well). See, I can handle R rated movies if they were rated for some violence and language. It's the sexual situations that I'm wary of (with American R rated films).

I'll look into that, thanks for the recommendation. I don't watch movies at all so rather than waste money on a theater ticket for a movie I might not like, I'd rather wait until it's out on DVD so I can rent it (usually on the recommendation of my friend but I'm thinking nowadays it wouldn't hurt to get recommendations from my internet peeps. )

Avatar, no matter how crappy it might turn out *knock on wood* is definitely a movie I'll be watching in theaters.

Stacey, thanks for that link but I'm wary of it's accuracy (I hear from people that IMDB is not always 100% trustworthy). I still think Dev Patel would make a better Sokka, in fact I think he should switch roles with Jackson Rathbone (the one currently in the running for Sokka).

Seriously, It looks like they're switching the races of most of the cast and I have no idea why.

I'm actually wary of the movie. I don't know how good of a job M. Night's going to do...

I can't believe they're making a live action movie. This and Dragon Ball, I highly doubt I'll watch either I'm far too frightened to even try!

^ It's because FOX has no idea how to handle movies like that. I heard horrible reviews about the DBZ movie - they're not faithful enough to the original to please the fans of the anime but the movie is too bizarre to appeal to a manistream audience.

Bleh. Even if we did get M.Night as a director, I'm pretty sure we didn't get FOX. I couldn't stand to see if it FOX got their hands on it. (Yes I have a bit of a grudge with that network/film corporation.)

How did true DBZ fans react to the news of the live action DBZ movie, anyway? I wonder if they were more upset when we found out about our own cartoon getting the live action treatment...

I've heard some pretty negative things about the DBZ movie from the very beginning. I never watched it, but I can feel their pain.

So, I was watching Nick yesterday and remembered the days when Nick would just play the same episodes of Avatar all the time. Like, the Season 1 finale. Just over and over again.

I miss those days.

Now it's just all Spongebob (as always) and iCarly, though I do love iCarly.

^I love iCarly too! Its one of those few kid shows that I like.

But anyway, they play Avatar everyday on NickToons. I just miss the thrill of Avatar in general.

Word. I miss all of the long reaction posts we'd have here after a new episode...

In four months it's going to be a year since the last episode, and it's been four years since it aired. I can't believe it.

For some reason, I have the idea that Nick is going to do a TV movie thing, separate from the M.Night movie. Has anyone else heard of this or is it just wishful thinking?

And this is off topic, but Stacey, I can't believe Derek is gone.

^I KNOW!

I didn't know you were a TSCC fan too! I don't know what I'm going to do with this show if he's gone.

And no, I haven't heard of any TV movie going on, but it could be possible. Although, Nick doesn't tend to overdo things like Disney does (except Spongebob). Maybe they'll do it close enough to the movie opening to create more buzz and interest

There are several episodes that I really like. Especially those with intense battle scenes.

Greetings djgreetings! Any specific ones come to mind so we can get some discussions or something going?

A TV movie would be great but something tells me they won't be able to do it well since Bryan and Mike are supposedly devoting their time and energies to the live action thing (or they should be if they know what's good for them. )

Meanwhile, someday I'm gonna have to catch up on The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I rather liked the first few episodes I saw (and I own the first 2 movies.) Was Derek the guy who didn't trust that Cameron robot gal?

Yup. He's awesome. If you have the chance to catch up completely, I highly recommend it. The second season finale (because I refuse to believe it won't get picked up for another season) was intense. It left me speechless. I loved it.

That would be cool. Or maybe after the movie. But like I said, I'm not really sure how I heard about a TV movie. I really want one though. I'm still dying to know what happened to Zuko's mother after she left the Fire Nation. Is Zuko ever going to reunite with her? It was an awesome storyline and it just dropped.

I was actually wondering how much Mike and Bryan were involved with the live action movie. I know that they're both producers for the movie, but I'm not sure how much control they have over the final product since M.Night wrote the screenplay and is directing.

Also, I don't know if anyone has checked out the IMDB page, but the main part of the cast (excluding Toph) has been announced.

anyway yeah, a bit iffy on the movie like you guys say. dev patel as zuko-i wonder how that is gonna work out, i did love slumdog millionaire though.

hopefully as the months progress we'll start getting pictures or something, then we'll see the aang actor for the first time, wonder what he looks like.

OT: And Allison, Derek's not completely off the show
