I have no idea. I haven't really looked. Best bet would be the Sci-Fi board. It really is a great show. Everything about it is fantastic. Have you watched their panel from Comic-Con? It gives some great insight into the show.

On an Avatar related note, I realized that I don't really have much memory of Book 3. I need to go back and rewatch.

what does everyone else think??
I'm probably the last person who should answer the "Zu-zu" question on account of me not being much of a Zuko fan and all. But even though he doesn't physically reflect the part, I'm hoping Dev can nail the complexity and angst of the firey prince. I'm also wondering if the scar in those pics posted before will be more prominent in the movie. I wonder many things about the movie. Alot of it being nervous wondering.

Welcome BTW. In case you haven't posted here before. Come post more often!

It did occur to me that maybe in post production they would make the scar more prominent, but seems kind of unlikely. It should be easier to handle with makeup.

As a major Zuko fan, you and I are on the same page. I'd rather have a great actor that looks nothing like Zuko than a crappy one that looks perfect.

I have pretty good faith that Dev can pull off Zuko. I am a bit worried that the Zuko Angst/Determination will be completely overacted (complete with yelling every word and constant squinty eyes for intensity).

I've been India all this time and I couldn't share my thoughts with you about HP movie! I thought it was amazing (Except for a certain character that completely ruined every scene she was in )

But how has everyone been!?

Word to this! Dev would've been such a better Sokka...he's so funny in RL! Hopefully all this worrying will be nothing and the acting will be good...hopefully.

Hi guys! I just recently got into The Last Airbender because I saw the trailer and was so intrigued. My brothers, who are huge fans, told me to watch the animated series and now that's what I'm doing. I watched chapter 1 (Water) and was so hooked! It really has a nice story. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the upcoming film. I just hope the actors they chose would really do justice to the characters.

Welcome Mavericks! Love to see new Avatar fans around here! I remember the book 1 finale and how incredibly fantastic it was! Stop by more often if you'd like! Come share your favorite episodes so far, favorite moments, or any observations in general! It would be fun to go down memory lane (I've been doing that when I watch those little season 1 Avatar extras.)

Cool! How was India, Stacey? Did you go to Mumbai? Did you check out where the Slumdog actors live? What about Dev, aka Zuko? (Heh, of course I've got to vaguely tie it to some aspect of Avatar. )

As for the Harry Potter scenes you disliked... dare I ask who you are referring to? I have an idea it's a certain redhead sister of a main character. Well anyway, the movie had plenty of good scenes for both Hermione shippers and that's always good.

always have been an avatar fan, but lawschool has kept me busy and i stopped watching mid-book2. just finished re-watching book 1, and went on to finish books 2 & 3 in... uhm.. 2 days, haha.

i just want to say that after all, there was a point to my liking zuko even during the first episode (amidst all the angst)

the finale was mind-bending!

I just finished watching the first two series of Skins and Dev was great as Anwar. He cracked me up.

I heard somewhere that the movie is cutting down on the comedic elements, so maybe that explains it. But I am glad Dev isn't being typecasted as the funny sidekick.

I'm glad you got to finished the series rockchiq234.

Book 2 is probably my favorite.

Also, (I'm not sure if this has been mentioned) a full trailer is going to be released around Christmas, possibly attached to The Lovely Bones.

I can't wait for the full trailer! And hooray to rockchiq234 for getting through the series. It reminds me of how long and torturous the wait was for season 3. (God I hate Nick. )

Seriously Veiled Vesta. The only thing worse than waiting for Book 3 to start was waiting weeks between new episodes. Ugh.

^ No problem and I hope that Avatar marathon was fun, Mavericks! I've been meaning to do one of those sometime before the holidays. (Heck, maybe I will do it during the holidays when every show is on break.)

Even waiting for a longer trailer and more news on The Last Airbender movie isn't as torturous! (God, remember when they paired up two parters and billed them as "mini movies" or something? Thought the trend would stop with season 2, which by the way also had a fairly long wait in between, I believe Toph training Aang and The Chase. Nickelodeon has no sense of the words "pacing" or "spreading out" or "pleasing fans".)

Nick had absolutely no idea how to handle this show. To be fair, Avatar is extremely different from anything Nick ever had on their network. It's a cartoon with three dimensional characters and a solid plot structure throughout the seasons.

I read somewhere (an iCarly board) that Nick usually airs episodes through a "theme" that they're promoting for the week, like the Green week they had a while back. So, it's not the episode order that the writers have created that matter for Nick, it's that Nick wants all of their new episodes for that week to all have the same "message" or whatever. That might have been the problem, since airing an Avatar episode out of order would completely throw off the continuity of the rest of the season.
