I had to tape it because of hurricane issues but I've watched it and I have to say I was just happy to see Alyson back on t.v. Definitely a different role for her - now starring in a comedy - but she played the part great! Can't wait to see next week's episode!

This is horrible of me, considering I'm one of the mods here, but I really was disappointed in the show. It just seemed very bland to me.

I watched parts of it while I was finishing up at the daycare and I liked Aly, but I hate the premise of the show, I mean what if the lead chick drops out or leaves the show, how would they explain that since she is "your mother".

For Aly's sake I hope it does well, but I wasn't a fan.

I agree the show was bland but if the show fails it won't be Alysons fault because i thought she was great. It's just the writing and the whole premise of the show. The show just didn't make that much of an impression on me. Maybe it will get better.

Alyson is great, I agree, but the actors she play with aren't that great. Hopefully she can liven' up the show.

I actually liked the pilot episode. I thought it was much better than many new shows I have seen. Alyson was great.

I watched NB (Xander's) new show 'Kitchen Confidential' but felt it was boring compared to Aly's show.

In reply to the other poster concerned what would happen if the lead actress left...
well at the end of the show we found out that she was not in-fact the "mother".

The shows characters remind me of FRIENDS.

The lead male is Ross and the lead female is Rachael

Doogie Howser is a cross between Joey and Chandler

Aly is Pheebs

I've heard the comparison to Friends too, I just wasn't feeling it myself. I actually found Nicky's new show much funnier, if not a bit on the crude side of things. I guess time will tell, Fox is notorious for not giving new shows a chance anyway, whereas CBS has Aly's show in a prime timeslot.

I watched it, and you're sure missing something special. I really didn't have high expectations for this show, but it has proved itself to be my No. 1 Freshman show of this year.
