I really mostly just defend the ratings for ALL tv shows now when it comes to the outdated Nielsen system because it's extremely outdated.

When your show gets cancelled because of Nielsen, hit me up for I can defend how ridiculous it is in 2019....

^ I defend that we are in a new generation and the way we watch stuff is different. It's ridiculous if 50% of the US is watching through streaming and it doesn't get accounted into ratings.

It makes no logical sense.

People can want the past all they want but it's not the past so things needs to be track how things are viewed in the PRESENT.

BTW: I prefer watching stuff on my tv screen, as I told Dave many times in our conversations when we live watched anything.

I don't like surrendering to technology entirely, especially since it's been linked to increased depression and detachment in Millennials.

^ Has also heard 80s nostalgia is the hottest nostalgia today, even among those too young to remember it.

^ And what I am saying is that just because you don't like or approve of it doesn't mean the change did NOT happen... it did. A lot of people have been depressed way before technology advanced but it's just been shown a lot more clearer since people have a social platform to talk about it.

As I mentioned, talk to me when one of your favorite shows get cancelled because outdated Neilsen tracking... it's idiotic.

That's probably less than 50% of the accurate audience who watched.

This is really not about which time/era you prefer.

it's about wanting things to be tracked more how things are watched currently.

But I don't want too much tech interference in our lives.

And yes, I just lost a show due to Nielsen ratings, but that doesn't change my mind about streaming.

^ And that's where you don't get anything that I just said. Just because you don't like it, doesn't erase the fact that it EXIST and judging and cancelling shows just because of how the show is doing on Nielsen makes no sense.

Unfortunately people stream, technology advanced... people need to get over it because it happened.

Can't change that so at least count those viewers.
