Yeah, I think that was in the same episode with the Vandal Savage scene I mentioned. And then Rip took a hit for Kendra (I think?) and when Sara asked him about his shoulder, Rip said he can't have people thinking he didn't care about his team.

I think Sara was really good for Rip. Rip's very much of a lone wolf and tends to have tunnel vision. He's the tactics over team kind of leader early S2 Amaya would love to have. But Sara challenges Rip in that, and got him to care more about his team rather than using them as pawns. The last 5 years where Rip set up the Time Bureau without Sara around him has resulted Rip to regress to that S1 Rip.

He's not that nice to her these days. I think he's jealous that she's better at it than he is. It's probably why he didn't let them have the waverider. Also,Gideon cares about someone aside from him.

I think RIp's problem is that even when he cares for someone,he inadvertently puts them in harm's way. He did it with his family,even if he didn't realize it. He wants to kill the bad guys so badly that he's willing to burn bridges with his allies.

If he trusts Sara to kill Mallus,why did he sneak behind her back?

I actually believe he respects Sara and cares about her the same way he always has but does stupid things even though he cares...

He shouldn't talk smack about them to other people. It's disrespectful and stabs her in the back. I know he must like having authority,but even he's subject to rules and laws. He's so focused on his goals that he'll screw over anyone to get them.

I want her to tell him about Stein onscreen. Stein was one of the only ones he had any respect for. He hated Mick and I doubt he respected Jax as much as Stein. Idk that he respected Ray,since his behavior caused some blunders in the beginning.

I think Rip always has been a character who does things for his benefit and think of the consequence second... he's always been like that.

I agree that I hope that convo happens on screen.
