I think at a con Alex Kingston said it's more of scheduling issue that she can't make an appearance on Arrow or LoT.

yea....if they are not required to be there by the producers...then they can spend travel money and attend or not to comic con

Cons are on the weekend. Shows film during the week. If she's filming a show during the week then she can't go film another show. But she can use her weekend to go to a con.
