6x10 - Episode Discussion

THE CYCLE OF LIFE –
With Constantine (Matt Ryan) obsessed with getting his powers back, he convinces Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) to join him on the quest to find the Fountain of Imperium. After they find themselves at the end of the Spanish Civil War, Spooner makes an unexpected bond with someone she feels the need to protect them from everyone, including Constantine.

Now that they have a special guest on board the Waverider, Nate (Nick Zano), Zari (Tala Ashe), Behrad (Shayan Sobhian), Gary (Adam Tsekham) and Astra (Olivia Swann) all work together but experience some growing pains along the way. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Lita (guest star Mina Sundwall) are concerned about Rory’s (Dominc Purcell) health, so they try to convince him to take it seriously. Jes Macallan also stars.

I've been waiting for the episodes that Jes is prepping to see how the writers would treat Sara when Ava isn't around. Turns out, they couldn't be bothered to write for her at all.

When Sara disappeared for 2 episodes because Caity was prepping, Ava still got lots of scenes on her own with the team. But now when Jes is off prepping, Sara disappears too? If this isn't proof that the writers don't think there's a place for Sara without Ava, I don't know what is. This, and the fact that they still found a way to insert Ava into "Sara's storyline" with the alien abduction, it's obvious that Sara's only role on the show is Ava's girlfriend. Then again, the writers have pretty much admitted that themselves.

And who wrote the synopsis, making it seem like Sara was involved in Mick's plot when she's not? Last week's synopsis also made Sara's involvement with Mick/Lita seem more than it actually was.

I just don't find Legends episodes all that interesting when Sara isn't around, so this was a boring one for me.

Either Catiy's making them run out her contract or she likes the easy paycheck. I can't imagine she's getting any challenge out the role anymore.

Because why even have Sara on the show. They can say Ava and her bought a house and Sara choose to be a housewife. Then just pay CL for some voice-over work for phone calls to Ava to tell her how much she loves and how awesome she is, to keep the shippers happy. Sara's basically pointless now, she does nothing.

Constantine is going dark again. I hope when the Legends find out they can help him with his addiction to magic. I can see Zari Tarazi(when she's back) to be the first one to notice. She can already see thru him so won't take her long imo.

sad but true... Sara doesn't get used much anymore...same with Mick... it seems like a totally different show from season 2
