Well I will sort of disagree with that... he not only slept with Sara, he choice Sara over Laurel with the actions he did. lol And it's not like they just had a one night stand and moved on, they had a one night stand and fell in love.........

And when Sara returned in season 2, they got back together so it's why it was pretty big...
