Yes, and again, I think DC and WB are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this. Marvel is owning them cinematically, so they could be far more successful on TV.

Maybe when they started failing at the movies, they should've put more into their tv shows, which were still fairly popular at that time. Instead they cut all their budgets and shows started doing worse because of it.

If they were smart they would let the shows use Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Superman. Seeing some storylines with them on tv might get more people willing to watch those characters in the movies.

Well, right now the DCEU is really trailing the MCU, so I'm thinking that WB is rethinking their strategy. Also, I heard Jason Mamoa can't do Aquaman 2 due to an injury. And I'm guessing that The Flash and the Green Lantern Corps are still in limbo at the moment.

Sort of. I think they're pulling back and trying to stay focused and not try to compete with the MCU too much. But I still don't like Margot Robbie throwing her weight around and ruining Birds of Prey.

I agree, I don't think DC giving Margo Robbie creative freedom on the BoP movie was the right call.

They should be doing Gotham City Sirens. But Margot didn't want to compete with Catwoman and Poison Ivy. She wanted to be the star and most regular movie goers have never even heard of the Birds of Prey.

Maybe they should be hiring Asians to play Batman.

I agree. I resent Hollywood actors who don't know anything about comics making decisions like that, nor do I like it when Hollywood studios do it either. Hollywood comes from a very weird and very far-out left of center place, and that often results in decisions being made that has nothing to do with adaptation, entertainment, or storytelling, and more to do with politics, personal agends and ideologies.

Oh, God, don't even get me started.

They're thinking of hiring an Asian actor to play Snake Eyes even though his character has been a blonde, blue eyed American man since 1982.

Hollywood is really pissing me off with their diversity crap, because they're ironically creating the situation that they're attempting to solve, by stirring resentment and division and alienating people by making it seem like comic book fans are losing their heroes.

Obviously she does, considering that Birds of Prey is supposed to be Batgirl, Huntress, and Black Canary, not Harley Quinn, who's a villain.

And the fact that she kicked out Batgirl from the movie since she's another known hero.

Margo didn't want to compete with them hiring a more known or equal known actress to play the more iconic roles of Batgirl, Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

I also heard that the Harley Quinn BOP is undergoing massive re-shoots with a new director. DC really can't pick or keep directors can they. The Flash movie has gone through what, 4 directors now and it hasn't even started filming. You can say what you want about Marvel movies at least they have their act together behind the scenes.

Is this true or just speculation though? Probably the BTS, TPOB likes Margot Robbie so much and it's not really Margot's fault?

TPTB like Margot, and Margot is drunk on her newfound success. I'd put her in the corner and remind her that the only one who should be making decisions is someone who knows comic books... like me.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if The Flash even gets made at this point, Melissa. I'm hoping all these reshoots for BoP means that the movie is in trouble and it flops big time. I'm really sick and tired of watching Hollywood screw up comic book movies, and I'm really sick of so-called comic book experts like Zack Snyder and Kevin Feige making one mistake after another. They should all just step aside and let someone do this who knows how, and who knows more about comic books than anyone... ME.

^ Alex and for me I can't blame Margot since I haven't heard or saw something to show that she's stuck up and too into herself and her fame so she's making alol the demands.

If I had LEGIT reporting and BTS on that than I'll agree but thus far I haven't seen that... but again it's not like I follow close attention to backstage stuff.

Well, let's just say that I heard that Margot was not only the one who pushed to be in the BoP, but she also wanted the role of Black Canary to be changed to be more... "inclusive."

I think "wokeness" and political correctness needs to be categorized as a mental disorder.

^ Are you sure it's a legit report or just a gossip website who just like posting stuff for news. lol And if Margot does quote on quote get to "demand" things than that's more of the WB and TPTP problem for allowing that.

No actor is bigger than the movie/show and I learnt that a low by seeing how big time actors got fired or recast as a shocker....

So I can't really comment since I don't know if that's really true.

Last I heard there would be a sequel of Birds of Prey without Harley Quinn so for me it's just a wait and see process but I can't really blame or accuse MR of anything that I haven't heard or researched myself.
