Yeah, I don't think they were that close. From the sounds of it, Tom was trying to separate himself and he sounded a bit angry while the show was on. Which makes sense because of the hard work and long hours.

^ Yeah I know Tom was like that... and he even admitted to appreciating the show more as he distance himself from it.

Complete opposite from Dean Cain who is okay with being Superman for the rest of his career.

Same with Brandon Routh. lol

It could probably be because Tom Welling was younger when he was cast as Clark Kent...

Right. And even seen them say they are thankful for the opportunity to play Superman from time to time. Then we have Tom, who rarely even mentions he was the iconic CLARK KENT once upon a time.

^ I admit as a fan I was a little annoyed with it... although I got over it. I love people who sort of appreciate their roles in life... however again, I do realize that he was young at the time so I can see how some people wouldn't realize how one role would define their whole career... especially when it comes to getting type casting.

And perhaps he's just not a vocal guy with his gratitude.

If you look at my Facebook, I am always thanking someone for something, like past/current teachers, co-workers, friends, etc. for different opportunities and stuff. Not everyone is like that, and I can accept it.

I want to believe he is thankful. He got to play Superman. Not everyone gets that kind of gig.
