Which is ridiculous because if they wanted to stick by mythologies, Lex and Lois shouldn't have appeared on the series until Clark started working at the Daily Planet.

Well in the Sliver Age Superboy (tales of Superman when he was a boy) and Lex Luther were best friends. Until Lex lost his hair for which he blamed superboy for.
