Or they could've made a spin where Alexander has a son Lex.

And the son is the enemy. lol And than the son goes out of time, ages rapidly and by season 10, we see the evil grown up son. lol

Oh yeah they did, but it was just like poof it's the future, as opposed to actually seeing the time travel.

They went to the past too, if I remember correctly. Seems like amateur special effects/editing compared to the shows we have on air now like Legends and Timeless and Doctor Who.
