Yeah, it's annoying to hear people say we're lucky that we get paid over summer.

It's actually our salary spread out over those months. For all the work we do, we'll be driven insane if there wasn't summer break.

Teaching is still the perfect position for me. I don't go into it for the pay. I go for the students.

^ That does show how much (some) of the teachers really care because of how much comes with the job and the pay doesn't (all the time) match what some teachers teach or even go through on a daily basis.

Some people do recognize that.

A lot of people actually. I got a phone call and the guy [who I didn't know at all] told me what an incredible person he thinks I am for teaching and knows that I don't do it for the money.

I'm back! Posting some before bed. It's been a while since I got some sleep.

On the plane rides, I focused on watching movies. I got to see 6-7 movies. lol

Cece, how did you like the food in Italy? Which was your favorite city to visit? I love watching movies in planes. I remember seeing The Book Thief and trying really hard not to cry amongst strangers.

It was tiring, but I enjoyed the sights.

We walked so much though and I feel like I am still recovering from jetlag a bit.

I loved the food in Italy. It is so different than in the US. Lasagna was the most mind blowing as it looks the most different.

Even the tomato sauce is different on the pizza.

I think I'd lose weight.

I wouldn't be able to stand healthy on a daily basis though. There is still junk Italian food there, like we have junk American food and we have higher quality American food.

True Italian food is quite healthy. The cheese there also doesn't make my tummy upset. I drink lactose milk and cheese doesn't sit well with my stomach (dairy in general) so I was surprised that in Italy, dairy is fine for me.

I’m still trying to adjust to the hour that was taken from us almost two weeks ago!

YASSS! Loved the tomato sauce over there. When I returned to the U.S. I was obsessed with finding an authentic Italian restaurant. To no avail of course. :/ The closest thing to real Italian food that I’ve tasted was found at a restaurant in Little Italy in NYC.
