Welcome to the 52nd Clark Kent ♥ Lana Lang Appreciation Thread "So what are you, Man or Superman?" - Lana "I haven't figured it out yet..." - Clark  Their Journey: ♥ Clark and Lana~The Last Son of Krypton and His Earth Angel. The Kansas Farmboy Who Will Be Superman - From the first moment she saw him,Lana knew Clark Kent was special. For a while he may have been little more than the sweet, shy boy who lived next door, but she always recognized the hero within. During high school, Clark and Lana's already existent bond continues to deepen- forming a deep connection as two orphans trying to find their place in the world. This bond grows to a deep, unconditional love-a love that, though seems often torn apart, they are both willing to do anything to protect. Lana accepts Clark completely and believes that he is destined for greatness- and even if he's an alien from Krypton, he's "still the same Clark Kent" to her.  The Girl Next Door~ Clark has loved Lana Lang since he was five years old, recognizing within her a kindred, gentle spirit. But she is always far more than the beautiful girl of his dreams. She becomes a true, loyal friend to the boy hero even as their romantic feelings continue to deepen. His constant, patient love inspires Lana in her darkest hours, ultimately leading her to becoming a strong heroine in her own right, dedicated to upholding justice, just like her beloved. She, in turn, is "part of the reason" he becomes the hero the world will one day know as Superman- for she helped him realize what it truly means to love.
