It was, indeed. Those episodes there, by the end of season 2, were some of the best episodes for the ship, at least in my opinion. I always go back to those. It doesn't help season 2 is my favorite.

Yeah, it was a fantastic season altogether, with great plots and characters. I like this season's freaks, like Byron, Ryan and Cyrus, they even make me cry everytime. The soundtrack is unbelievable, with Oasis and U2 and the ever present Lifehouse... so many great songs! And clana was just special

Oddly enough, my favorite time for Clana was late s4 and early s5. I just loved all their fluff in those episodes.

Season two is great as well.

Agreed, early Season 5 was the BEST episodes for Clana as a pairing.

There was so much angst for them that I just loved any episodes where nothing bad happened. With most couples I love the angst, but I'm the opposite with Clana. Their fluffy scenes are my favorite ones.

I agree, which was why the start of season 5 was the best because they were so in love and it was so lovely to watch.

Angst for Clana was like torture.

Early s5 is such a sweet time for Clana, we got a glimpse of what their lives could've been like.

They did go overboard because some stuff was just unnecessary, like when Season 5 hit, it started to become stupid for Clark to continue lying to Lana.... it made it feel like Clark didn't trust Lana. I mean he let Lana date his enemy and he had the power the whole time to stop it.

Even Lana accepted Lex with his Zod powers and stook by Lex side, and Clark still didn't want to tell her?

Just some pathetic angst.

^ I agree, and then after she found out he told her he could protect her from anything, which did make it seem like he just didn't trust her before
