It's a shame so many posters have disappeared again though, when we were campaigning to get the board back everyone seemed so excited and dedicated. Hopefully they'll come back at some point.

I completely agreed. And I mentioned this before on the BSG board as well.

Or even the Prison Break boards. All boards that people campaigned to get back but after a few months they forget about it. It's not slamming anyone but it's more of a people should be SURE what they campaign for....

It also recently happened with my 24 board that was closed down (decided of myself and co-mod) because the lack of posters. A few years ago me and my co-mod were going to close the board, we had a date and everything and a LOT of fans were upset with me and my co-mod abo0ut closing the board... it was so bad that Jerry did a shocker and OVERTURNED his decision to close to board because so many people were so outspoken against it being closed however, the same people who were complaining to keep it opened were no where to be seen after like a month or 2.... even when 24: Legacy came out this year.

So, I guess I sort of don't get it.

It's why I don't vote of campaign for boards I won't participate in anymore.

It shouldn't be the fear of closing or the thrill of return to energize you to posts.

I'm happy this board is still here though because I love it so much and it's the reason for a lot of these current DC shows but I don't understand it as well...



I do believe though with all the social media sites in existence, the demand for a lot of boards isn't the same as it was in the past.

Sorry to hear that happened with your 24 board

I don't get why people campaign for boards (new or old) only to disappear a few months later. I saw it as an MST as well when new boards were struggling with their post counts or only one person wanted to mod the board. It's really sad. I guess people just lose interest more quickly these days.

I love that we got our board back and will of course continue to try and keep it active, but it makes me sad that people have forgotten about the board. It's easier and more fun when you have a dedicated group of posters, and I don't ever want us to get on the warning list again, or even worse, for the board to close again.

Yeah, it does seem that people lose interest quickly although I do think a lot of people prefer to just lurk and don't post which I don't get either since I don't do it. lol If I show up on the board, I'm going to post even if it's just a little bit of threads....

But yeah, I'm with you, I don't get it..... so nothing to add.

Hopefully posters will come back at some point, or new ones will find their way to the board.

At least we have our rewatches for now to help keep discussions going.
