So we just finished watching Siren in S7 last night.

DH before the end of Persona asked me where the real Clark was! He is still Clana!Forever and gets mad at Clark sometimes. He is still not a Lois fan...and he was like well when they are done I'm done, so I had to tell him don't worry there is one more round of Clana in S8. So we'll see the beginning of S8 is going to be key to see his reaction to Clois. He seems to really enjoy Lois scenes even though he says he doesn't like her..

He said he stopped watching live years ago because Clana seperated (it seems it was around season 3).. I was like...wow you gave up too soon on them :lol: He missed Clana 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0... It's got to be one of the most crazy on/off again relationships I've seen. I mean Ross/Rachel were crazy too but I feel like Clana even beats those two because they were actually in a serious relationship more often and for longer. Ross/Rachel I found more frustrating because they were just on the brink of being in a relationship for 6 years after 2 failed attempts with the exception of one special night...I just gave up rooting for those 2... At last Clana had a real relationship that lasted more than en episode in S5/S7/S8

Well Technically it doesn't end until after S8 arc so if he's not invested at all in Clois or anything else by then.... I really think he will like the later seasons because it's more Superman like and he has been excited about the build-up to that.. .When he first saw the Daily Planet for example, when he sees little superman-ish moments throughout the series. So he might want to watch it from that perspective even if he doesnt fall for Clois. I wasn't a Clois fan myself until S8...

Based on our current pace I would expect to hit S8 next week...

Also tbh I do remember spoiling myself about Clana when I was watching because I was afraid after TVD so I did google if they got together (no regrets)

What made it "unwatchable"? The storylines or dialogue?

I loved the Chlark friendship in 5-7. It was my favorite time for that friendship.

When I really love a show, it has to be bad for a long time (I'll give it a season at least) or completely destroy what I loved about it (TVD) for me to turn away. Sometimes a favorite character death can really do a number on a favorite show ... but usually I still give it a chance.

I wonder if part of it for him would just him being bitter about it because I can tell when he's watching what he's really enjoying or when he's really hooked..and there have been several times. I really think he'll enjoy a more mature Clark because he complains a lot about his weakness/immaturity especially when it comes to Clana..and Clark is not like that at all with Clois. Time will tell and it wont be that long before we know ;)

The storyline and the dialogue.:nod: Clark/Lana was actually a huge reason why, unfortunately.:( Clana went from a couple that was my favorite to the most unwatchable ship of the whole series because Clark looked pathetic in it.
They literally made Lana admit that the time she spent with Bizarro!Clark was more special then the time she spent with the real!Clark.:( It was terrible to watch.

The way Jimmy/Chloe got written in the beginning of the season upset me.

The story arcs for Kara aka Supergirl was a disappointment.:( I expected so much more.


I just felt everything was so disappointing.

After just rewatching S7 it pains me to say this as a Clana fan since we got an entire season of them together that it's at the bottom of the list for Seasons for me. As my complaints on the Clana thread for S7... it was just a missed opportunity where they could have had a lot of great pull at heart strings moments that they chose not to show. It's like they wanted the audience to lose investment in Clana by NOT showing it.

We flew through 5 episodes last night...stayed up too late. We usually have time for 3, but the 3rd one was the finale...and so 8x01 had to happen..and then I just love S8 so damn much I had to know how he liked it so said we need to watch on more...haha ugh tired.

So far he seems to be enjoying S8 (8x02). He's intrigued by the storylines..he's interested in him becoming more like superman... likes him working at DP so far likes the Lois/Clark dynamic but he's not falling over for them. I feel like I was at the same spot as him at that point the first go around with Clois, like hey I like them but not yet ready to let go of Lana. He doesnt want to lose the Chloe/Clark partnership though either.(he doesnt want Lois to replace all of that and I assured him that Chloe is still a big part of the story and Clarks life and still helps him)... he likes Chlark which is why he is also not a Chimmy fan (same here). He said after Clana he would ship Chlark romantically even. (again we seem to have very similar tastes with ships!) He seems to be more invested right now. He is still asking and waiting for Lana to come back. He's also still waiting for Clark to fly................... I keep saying you have a long wait ahead of you for that one

A couple who watches Smallville together, stays together. :love: So cute Nicole! Love hearing you and your hubby enjoy the show together. :D

My first watch through that's what made me not warm up to Lois. I have always loved Chloe, so seeing her come in was like but I don't want Lois to just erase all Chloe is and has done.
