I find it interesting seeing all the different reasons from people who watched, or who re-watches SV, it just shows how much things have change.

It seems like everyone I chat with loves the later seasons of Smallville and I wonder is it because most of them has watched Arrow, Flash, Supergirl.... and basically all the DC shows that came AFTER Smallville? Because those shows were more storyline driven with build up and gets a bit dark... where as Smallville, the darkness and actual real storylines that continued on to episodes and seasons really begin in season 6.

So, it just shows how different things are now.

I'm one of the few people who prefers the earlier seasons

Which is also probably why I prefer Smallville to Arrow/The Flash/etc. I do love The Flash and Supergirl, but for me those shows don't compare to Smallville.

^ I'm talking more in terms from the new viewers I come across.

Cause I also prefer season 1-3, but I do like 8-9 over 4-7 as well.

I love Smallville most as well.

The episode itself only got me angry because he's a big enough actor who is more than capable of stealing the show than the guy who played Clark who I never got around to see if he ever started to wear glasses, but I found myself reaching for a tissue when I was watching the episode where Clark and his mom who was played by Annette O'Toole were watching a video with him in it. His speech he made to his adopted son didn't much to cheer me up because he was saying that he had led a full life and didn't need to live another day or something because that sounded like a selfish attitude for fans, family, and friends who liked him. I did find out that he has a third show called The Haves and Have Nots, but I gave up on that one after starting to watch an episode where two people were having a conversation on an elevator because it looks like one of those ongoing sagas where you'd only get it if you got in on the beginning. If I wanted to watch shows like that, I'd watch General Hospital, which has been running for longer than I've been alive.

I don't know if Lana Lang was somehow brought back after that explosion or not because I haven't seen part two of that cliff hanger, but I know fans were led to believe that Chloe had been killed and we're proven wrong in the next season. I also don't know if Lionel Luthor survived or not either because the last I remember seeing him, he was unconscious or possibly dead.

I was very sad when Jonathan died, but I'm glad they brought the actor back for a few episodes at least.

Yes, it definitely was sad but sadly we knew eventually it was going to happen... well for the people who followed the Superman mythology, it was the matter of when.

I felt he became more like that in the later seasons (probably thanks to Lois) which is why we didn't even need to see RedK Clark anymore.

Clark still had his ways, but he pretty much knew who he was, wasn't all shy and really just active at doing what he was meant to do instead of being sad and complaining all the time.

I think we only saw RedK Clark only once between season 8-10.

That tells you something. lol
