My suggestion to everyone who still unsure and upset about losing a favorite character is to watch the show with an open mind and no expectations. You may like it, you may not, but give it a fair chance.

I'm most excited about SV getting closer to the mythology, and to the Superman canon.

Personally I'm excited about the new season because of the new changes. I think this is gonna be one heck of a year.

Me too, that's why I'm not saddened by the loss of Lex Luthor. I mean yeah he's always been around but it's cool that they are finally going to be letting his minions do the work for a change.

After 8 years it's about time they start taking the show in this direction.

Well the CW does a really shoddy job of promoting SV so I'm not really surprised about that. I'm also really looking forward to SV getting closer to the mythology of Superman and especially moving him towards his relationship with Lois.

Rachel i don't watch CW that much. I remember during the 2 hr 90210 premiere i saw three promos for Smallville . I also watch WWE smackdown on Fridays on CW(soon to move to My Network TV) so when I do have it on I have seen promos and articles talking about smallville .

Interesting to see Black canary in the Season opener and no Flash Jr . I saw Aquaman outfit /costume has changed to be morel like Comic book Aquaman. Not sure why CW can't give us 2 hr premiere most shows returning give you that to boost ratings and interest

Ugh I can't believe I actually liked the smallville premier. Justin Hartley was as gorgeous as ever and Tom was wet and had scruff going on Plus the new villain is basically the female Lex but she seems to have a thing for Lois then Lex had for Clark LOL Best part of the episode was Jimmy had one scene LOL I basically rolled my eyes at it lol my favorite part was Chloe almost risked her life for Clark But basically I give it a 7 out of 10.

Wow... fantastic is the word that comes to mind. Yeah, I missed Lex, but I am intrigued by Tess. And Clark Kent working at The Daily Planet across from Lois! SV is back, baby!

OMG I loved it! I was worried about being too spoiled but that didn't affect my enjoyment of the episode at all. My thoughts are a bit too jumbled right now to right a full episode review so I'll do that later, but judging from the SP I can tell we're in for an awesome season!
