Now Here is the official CW Summary of the Season 8 Smallville Premiere!

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE RETURNS TO FIND CLARK AFTER THE COLLAPSE OF THE FORTRESS; THE NEW CEO OF LUTHORCORP COMES TO TOWN — The Justice League, lead by the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), hits the Artic in search of Clark (Tom Welling), who disappeared after the fortress collapsed. The team immediately has a confrontation with the new CEO of Luthorcorp, Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman). Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) is being held prisoner by a suspicious group who has discovered she has a new power, and Clark has been stripped of his powers by Jor-El. Erica Durance and Aaron Ashmore also star.

Well, any initial comments and thoughts?

Thanks for starting this Alex! Those trailers are great, but I think they're both fanmade. This is the link to the official CW trailer: Smallville-Odyssey 8.01 Trailer.

Initial thoughts:

TW in a grey form fitting shirt with stubble and wet hair + JH in a black leather jacket speaking Russian + TW & JH fighting each other = smoking hot!

Lois with a gun!

The return of the JLA leaves me giddy!

The premiere is now 4 days aways guys!

I am so looking forward to the new opening credits! Should be real awesome.

And it will be great to not have Lex around anymore. Don't get me wrong like any I do love Lex but it's good to see the show go in a new direction.

And the return of JLA- what's not to be excited about?!

You guys in North America are so lucky to see it soon. We probably won't be seeing season 8 until later next year here in the UK.
Looking forward to hearing all about it! Should be an explosive premiere!

That sucks, can't you obtain the episodes "through alternative means online"?

And it will be great to not have Lex around anymore. Don't get me wrong like any I do love Lex but it's good to see the show go in a new direction. And the return of JLA- what's not to be excited about?!

I wouldn't go that far..."great"? I'll say it's different. It's not going to be the SV we know, and we have to embrace change and be open minded, or else fans will have a hard time watching S8 if they are holding on to the past, or past characters.

JLA is exciting to see being brought back

I kinda agree, I love Michael, but I kinda felt Lex was becoming redundant, I meant you can only have ONE big bad guy for a while. I'm sure some people will disagree, but thats how I feel lol

To each is own I suppose. I'm just really glad that we're getting into the true Superman mythos after 8 years. I mean sure the show was generally about pre-Superman but I like that they are finally changing things up a bit. I mean things can't stay the same forever. Even characters have to age too.

Personally I would like to see Smallville remain pre-Superman. I think it gives the show runners a bit of room to be creative with the plots without having to be constrain by mythos. They can introduce new villians and new characters, as it keeps the show interesting.
It also gives them the flexibility to play with the mythos a bit for example with Lex. When MR decided not to come back for season 8, while it disappointed the show runners, they just introduced a new character Tess in his place.

if that's what their intending i don't think it'll go over well
