Clark always losing father figures....
Yeah, sadly even if people found the Clark/Lionel alliance odd, they really did form a real bond. Lionel loved Clark more than his own son for some reason.

Chloe is completely correct here. They all added to what he is today! And Allison Mack acting his terrific here. Powerful and true words.
A shame that Lex closed the funeral to the public.....

Clark showed up here.....

Ya know, I always knew, even back in earlier seasons, at some point Lionel would have to die, and that Lex would be the one to kill him.

The moment he finally did it did not disappoint.

Yeah, though it didn't really make sense. I enjoyed despite never trusting Lionel.

I think the change clearly happened after the body switching episode when he got healed and than Jor-El possessed him. That's when the huge change for Lionel happened... before that, I think he just liked Clark because he was Martha's son.

Yeah his obsession was a little weird can't deny at times that he had Clarks back though even more so than his actual son

Feels like I waited years for this episode to happen.

Lex was always going to become evil and kill his father. There was no going back for him after this.

And Clark finally stopped believing he could save him.

This along with 7x18 are my favorite episodes of this season! This is when stuff really got real. And that ending scene. The speech from Chloe to Clak. Lex realizing he killed his father for no good reason.... all craziness.
