This will definitely be interesting to watch, first time director (I think) and a writer who hasn't done so well.

I hope they do good.
I always wanted to find out more about Warrior Angel comics. :) Plus this episode sounds like they will poke fun at the fans as well.

the ending of tonight's episode made me hyperventilate, you guys! BIG FAT Symbolism. :thud:

after watching this episode, i missed earlier seasons. they actually developed there stories. in this episode they barely mentioned what the guys motive was. they said something about how he thought the girlfreind should die, but how would he jump from that to killing the actress that had nothing to do with rather the character lived or not?

i didn't think that it was possible, but i'm hating lana more and more every episode. after all she been through with lex you'd think she would be afraid of turning into one of them, than trying to con everyone. as for her and clark they were done seasons ago. its time for the writers to move on, the ship long sailed.

okay, done ranting, the only really good things in this episode were the clark and chloe scenes they rocked as usual. it is nice to see clark still turn toward chloe for help. and lois is story was interesting, though predictible. and of couse i liked the end with the red cape, very symbolic.

as for linol that was different, hopefully in a future episode there will be a better expation of it. i had a feeling that he was alive (not only because that he was in the credits) but because they keep refurring to him as mia. as for lana being involved wasn't really a suprise.

overall this was kind of a disapointment but hopefully next weeks will be better.

Did anyone catch the mention of "fan forums" in tonight's episode? I was cracking up. It totally had to be a shout out. ;)

My cable was out so I missed this - how and where do I download it? I've never done this before so I will need directions - like step-by-step! Oh, and I have a Mac just to add to the mix! Thanks.

I have nothing but geeky love for this episode! :D

I know! :slinkie: It was too cool!
I knew the moment the episode started and we saw Warrior Angel 'fyling' in that cape, that Clark will get it.
OK, I was spoiled too , but it was so obvious. :D

Loved all the Warrior Angel/Devilicus/comics stuff in the episode. It was fun.

And Lex and his geeky collection! :D

How cool it was seeing those two act civil, and Clark going there for advice? :D

Well he was supposed to be a bit crazy, so was there supposed to be logic in his actions? :goof:

I just assumed that if he killed the actress, they wouldn't be able to shot the ending they wanted, and that would also potentially force them to rewrite the ending if they had to reshot the movie.

She is completely gone, that one.
Kidnapping Lionel, torturing him, and hitting him with a shovel. Spending every night at that weeds plantation :lmao:, while lying to be at Nell's. Being completely creepy and threatening one moment and then answering her cell and switching to StepfordLana in the next one.

Lionel gets the best line of the episode!
"They said you were being held captive by a crazy woman."
"He he, indeed I was....you."
:rotfl: :lmao:

You tell her MB!
What a magnificent scene. He was right, it wasn't about protecting Clark but about retribution.
So good to see someone finally telling it how it is, and calling her on her actions. Maybe there is some hope for this season after all.

That was fantastic!

They said in the interviews that they'll poke fun at the fans. There are many :D who believe that Lana is holding Clark back and standing in his way of becoming Superman, so she should leave/be killed off.

What's even more funny is that they practically confirmed it in the last scene, when he said that he wants to stay there with her and didn't seem interested in being a hero and hope for millions of people. Ha, guess not only some of us, but AlMiles as well are also closeted 'crazy fans'. ;)

That being said - how cool were the movie costumes? :D

And Chloe being a fangirl was adorable.
And later on when they were looking to find out who send Clark that comic she called herself his sidekick.

And Lois was cool, trying to dig up dirt on Lex and bickering with Grant. Ha ha, arm candy.

All in all, a fun episode. :D

Barb, PM me if you still need help. ;)

I finally get to watched it last night! :yay: I love it!

Gypsysue 10-26-2007 09:12 PM

I loved this epsidoe.....the season just seems to be getting better and better..I hope it continues on this way.

Im actually liking Lana now lol...no more whiney girl...now she has backbone, its quiet refreshing to see, even thou she is more than likely evil now lol..
Chloes gettin her groove back which is great to see.
I was so happy to see Lionel back...finally...that scene where he is ripping the skin off his hand...gross and awesome lol I was peaking throu my fingers watching that scene lol...
Loved it all, was actually fully focused on the episode and not doing a few things at once like I have been lately during Smallville....good job...

Great episode, thanks again for the help, Cris. Just loved the cape! Wonder where Kara disappeared to and when she will be 'home' as Clark put it. I also wonder if Clark will ever get that tractor fixed? He sure works on it a lot!!
I wonder why Clark hardly ever kisses Lana? Seems like he's going to but then he doesn't. I wish he would - I know, a few of you reading this may not agree with me but I am the romantic here.

mjgchick 10-27-2007 09:40 AM

I think I'm loving manipulative, evil back stabbing Lana  I don't know I've been waiting for Kristen to do something like this. And she really is turning into a Luther

Even though I'm not a Clana fan its getting on my nerves that these 2 have not kissed yet. It's just weirding me out

I'm not sure if this isn't the end for Lana on the show, after this episode, where is the place they can go with the character?

We all know that Lana is holding Clark back at this point, but she isn't the only one. Clark is ultimately holding himself back from "his destiny" as we know it as Superman.

So "Bad" Lana is here now. Like Cris said, she's done all of these things that seemed "so out of character" but you have to remember it really started with "Nemesis" last year. Given what happened there it shouldn't come as a surprise at all, but a natural progression.

I felt that Lionel's warning was right on, once you start down the "dark path"....forever will it dominate your destiny To quote a very wise Jedi Master...Yoda!.

Mixed up in all of this was an episode that was good and bad all wrapped up in one. In other words, your basic middle of the road SV episode. Still a lot of good plot advancement/storyline progress was also made.

Most significant was Lionel's re-appearance on the show (thank God for that). His scenes as a captive reminded me of a film that is rather scary and twisted..."Misery"! The fact that Lana was the one responsible is a bit of a stretch, but I'll give that to the writers, they want to drive a point home.

Lana is on the hunt for the Luthors and she will not be stopped. There is nothing she will not do to get payback and "protect" Clark. Although, at what point do the lines become so blurry that "protecting Clark" becomes "avenging herself"? It's a good question to think about.

Lex gets Lionel back, and I miss scenes between those two.

Lois was back and going after a story and after Lex. Al and Miles said they will have Lois investigate Lex this season and try and dig "dirt", and at what point do some of these tracks lead...straight to Lana?

Lana lying to Clark will come back to haunt their relationship and maybe be the deciding factor to "break them up" come the end of S7. It's my personal theory of course, nothing more, but I can see the anvils falling from the sky in that scene between Lana and Lionel at the end of "Action".

"The Cheese" I could have done without. Yes, the Warrior Angel (Ha, more continuity from SV. We get Sasha from S1 and now Warrior Angel? What's next...the return of Jessie from "Red"!:D) is a good way to introduce this whole question of wheather a superhero's love is something Clark should have, but why did they have to do it with the movie, and that annoying Rachel Davenport character? The red "cape" at the end...more anvils falling from the sky...big ones! When Rachel said "See you for the sequel" I was thinking I sure hope not! One and you're done is enough:P

Maybe I'm just really ready for "Lara" next week. That is why I wasn't all that moved by "Action". I also find that SV now needs Kara, something about the things that Kara brings to the show. Her relationship with Clark and her future here on earth is the key to S7.

So I'm going to give "Action" 2 :star: :star: out of 5.

Alex
