"Meanwhile, back in 2007, Clark discovers why Lana married Lex." Written by: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders Directed by: Jeannot Szwarc TV Guide Description: Lana is shot after secretly meeting with Lionel at the Daily Planet. I can't wait. I hope it will be very similar to the "Moonlinghting" Noir episode. That would be great.

Okay so originally I was going to rate this episode a 6 (1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest.) But then that all changed. And I decided to give it an 8 instead.
One name: Richard Kahan!!!! I wasn't paying attention to the credits so it was a major surprise to see him as a reporter for the DP. For those who don't know, Richard played Gil Kervers on "Edgemont" and is now on the summer hit "The 4400" as Theory Room genius, Marco Pacella. (my fav. show BTW) Okay so onto Smallville: Personally I am not a fan of black and white. I need that color. It just doesn't work for me, but as I watched the show, I had to put that aside. It's Smallville for crying outloud! So I tried my best to pay attention to the story. Loved how in Jimmy's dream, he had Clark pictured as a guy with a double identity. And the fact that he was a cop was sweet! Protector of the innocent. Great to see Lois again, it had been a while. Nice save by Clark as Chloe fell. Personally, didn't like that fall because you could tell how totally fake it was (I don't like it when you can actual tell the fakeness of it.) I was smiling when Lana told Chloe she was protecting Clark. That moment between the two was so beautiful. And then how they talked about Clark's weakness. While Lana doesn't know what it is just yet, at the same time she's afraid for him nontheless and that's really cool. I do feel bad for Chlo though as she is stuck inbetween loyalties. Keeping secrets from Clark because Lana asks her to; and then keeping secrets from Lana since Clark asks her to. Overall, the episode wasn't so bad. Again: Richard Kahan, WAHOO!!!!!!!! __________________

wow how boring was it it really was not one of the best only the CC scenes did it for me when Clark saved Chloe in the last minute and she teased him about taking a while to get to her lol and that thank you in the end

I thought it was a great departure for the show. What a surprise to see Lois and Lex!! I bet they all enjoyed making this because it was so different. Jimmy was terrific in his dream world as was Clark. Also a surprise to see the 'dream' Clark kill someone!
All in all good show |

i really liked the black and white for the 40's era... i'm usually not a fan but for this it worked. i really did enjoy seeing Lois again too and i loved the sneaking around with lex, although i would've prefered she sneak around with Clark.

Loved the episode!!
I'd say this is my third favourite episode this year (after Justice and Nemesis). The black/white dream was fantastic! Jimmy was so cool. Loved Chloe and how fast she talked! Bumbling Clark with glasses was adorable! But oi with the hotness! He looked so darn good in the suit! 30's Lana didn't really work for me too much. She was OK but not enough femme fatale for my taste. Lois looked awesome! Shame there wasn't more of her in the dream. Lois and Lex, hello new pairing. Lex was too cool! It shouldn't be legal to look that good with a cigarette! Lionel as the bar owner - perfect! Loved how Lana played them all in the dream. Loved when Clark shot her! Mwa ha. I giggled at Lex's 'rosebud' moment with 'gardenia'. I'm a dork like that. Jimmy I love how your mind works!! In our time... Jimmy/Chloe date was too cute. I *loved* how he knew all the lines in the movie! I giggled like mad when I saw the foot and the elevator. Wicked! Loved how Lois grabbed the evidence from the crime scene - that's our girl! Didn't like how both Chloe and Clark ignored Jimmy and his ideas - because he had a point. I loved how they figured out the case in the end. "Dial 911" *dials Clark* had me laughing like mad! Just as the last minute save! Lionel is behind it all! Lex so won't be happy when he finds out. Oh Lana, you played both Luthors last week, but seriously - you can not outplay them alone every time. Go Lois, she so knew what was on that UBS stick before Lionel saw it - she just wanted to see if he knows! She's after a story! Loved that Jimmy ended up on the first page! And that he got an assignment! I'm gonna miss him, but way to go James! And that kiss at the end was too cute! Kick ass episode! I must go rewatch. __________________
