Oh Lionel is okay... and told the Kents that Lex is still down there.
Also, Lionel telling Clark to save Lex, and about something Lex put into motion.

Lionel is such an compelling character. Probably the most of all the characters on the show cause you just never know what is going on through his mind.

Seems like both Lionel and Lex have made a lot of enemies.

I think the reason this episode hurt so much to watch is because I feel without Lana being in the middle, one day these two probably could've been friends again.

It's sort of why I don't get why Lana dated Lex. Cause she knew of Clark/Lex friendship to growing hatred and of course her dating Lex made matters worst and I think doomed their friendship forever.

It's why I don't like triangles because no one looks good in it, in this triangle no one looked good. Clark didn't because he could've prevented it. Lex didn't, because it look like he wanted what Clark had. Lana didn't because she was the one who made damn sure Lex and Clark would never be friends again unintentional but still....

This isn't exactly the first time Clark's had to decide whether or not he should save Lex. Seems like he has to make that decision every week

Chloe of course doesn't agree with it after what he did to her mother.


HOWEVER, the writing just upsets me again because Ingrid, I know you should know by now that Lionel is one of my favorite characters of the series, however, I hate how the writers have amnesia with the fact that Lionel would have had Chloe KILLED if Lex didn't save her (explosion in Season 3 finale) and Chloe easily moved on from it.

I just hate how the show did everything to make Lex look bad for everything while trying to whitewash Lionel.

Season 4 still clearly upsets me...

That frustrates me too, I hate when they change how the characters feel just so it fits the storyline better. It doesn't make sense, Chloe should definitely hate Lionel after everything he's done to her and her family And instead she hates Lex

Lana is being a great actress right now.

Lana changing more darker by the episode. Understandably so.

Agreed, why can't they have Chloe just hate them both? It sure would be understandable to just hate both of the Luthors like Jonathan Kent always did....


Lex did bad but I think probably Lionel did more worst. When it comes to Chloe anyway.

Chloe had Lex pained as an enemy the day she learned Clark's secret................... even though without Lex she would be dead in this episode but okay.

I like how Lana is doing a great job at playing the perfect housewife right now while uncovering some secrets of her own.
She has a lot of power right now since she's a Luthor.
