Nice Clark and Martha scenes.
I love this Chloe and Clark scene. ANd yes Clark, you gotta be more careful! Chloe telling Clark that she got the lead from Lionel. Yeah what a shock... |

So sad watching this Clark/Jonathan scene, knowing what's going to happen

It's strange but sort of awesome to see how Lionel is more good while Lex is turning more desperate and dark. lol
Great Chloe and Lois scene. Yup, eventually Lois will be reporting as well. A Jonathan and Clark scene. And well Clark is very gullible sadly... Clark still worried about Jor-El warning... I agree with Jonathan's advice. Quote:

Clark really did a lot to stress me out in this episode.
He was way to naive. Come on once Milton said destory the Fortress, an eyebrow raised would've happened for me. So easily manipulated. I love how Jonathan didn't trust Milton at all! even when he helped Martha, he still wasn't trusting him. lol The Martha and Clark scene was perfect. The way Annette and TW act together was so amazing. I just felt their connection and everything. All of their scenes in the episode was perfect. How Martha saying she'd give her life for his and Clark not giving up on fighting to save her life. I love Clark telling Martha that she's his heart and soul even if Jonathan has giving him his strength and other things. We usually see a lot of Clark/Jonathan so it was nice seeing the scenes with mother and son. I loved the Trusty Sidekick Cousins scenes! They did some amazing teamwork investigation together. Chloe and Clark chemistry was just amazing this season. Season 5 will always stand as their greatest season together. The scene with Chloe and Lionel was awesome! Lionel is quietly team good. Too bad for Lex that the spaceship left from Warehouse 15. Also the scene of the episode that foreshadows Lois future! And Lex's in a way. |

Tom acted really well in this episode, despite Clark's mind-changing.

I'm honestly not all that surprised that Clark was so easily manipulated. "Fine" had done a lot to gain Clark's trust... and Jor-El had been very "tough" to him and never really explained much to him or tried to develop a level of trust and respect with him.... "rule with strength".. and told him he was going to lose someone close to him... Plus Clark was extremely emotional with his MOTHER dying!!
I loved the Kents and Clark in this episode especially Clark/Martha Such a sweet scene at the end with Chlark. I love when he says "he obviously didn't know you" when Braniac said that you can't depend on humans |

Nicole I will completely disagree. lol I understand trusting people but when it came to him destroying the Fortress of Solitude?? Really what an idiot. Even if I never knew of Mr. Fine real identity, even I would've known something was off with that. |

It wasn't a rational decision that's for sure
Speaking of the ship. I will firmly stand by Clark in his decision to destroy the ship. If I was told I was supposed to rule/conquer the planet and I would be ripped away from my friends/family I would have done it too. |

I think that was a stupid decision. I loved that Pete had more common sense then Clark did in that situation. |

He kept it from them because he knew it was dangerous.......... and that was Pete's fear as well. Honestly no one would have gotten hurt if the Kents didn't go rushing home. Clark didn't know they would be there.
If you knew your birth father was trying to control you, take you way from your friends and family, and possibly force you to conquer the planet you loved... what would you do? |
